On your way to the Amalfi coast, stop at scenic view points before reaching Positano, one of the most famous and charming towns along the Amalfi coast, where delightful white and pastel-colored houses litter the hillside. Along with the beautiful beaches, the ancient fishing port, the splendid majolica dome of the church of Santa Maria Assunta and artisan shops, you'll enjoy a taste of the "Dolce Vita".

After a walking tour and some free time, you will transfer to Amalfi on board a shared public boat. Made of a labyrinth of narrow lanes and alleyways that climbs the surrounding hills, Amalfi features typical Mediterranean style architecture with houses piled one on top of the other. Here you can sample the local Limoncello drink in one of the many cafes' or perhaps visit the celebrated "Paradise Cloister" built in Arabian style that dates back to the thirteenth century. In Amalfi, we'll stop for lunch in a local Pizzeria.

After lunch, you will leave Amalfi and following the road uphill away from the coast, you will stop at another scenic view point to enjoy the last magnificent view of this enchanting part of Italy. You will visit the ancient ruins of Pompei on a 2 hour walking tour conducted by our local expert guide. The tour of the archaeological site will include visits to the interiors of the homes of Pompeii's wealthier citizens, ancient street cafés where locals dined and you will learn about traditional Roman cuisine and in the amphitheater we'll talk of the Gladiators and the events staged in the arena. You will also enjoy numerous anecdotes about life in Pompeii that will include some of the Graffiti dating back to Roman times that are still visible throughout the ruins.
