Yumi, our tour guide, was exceptional. Great itinerary. Small group so you can ask many questions regarding culture, customs, etc. Much better than other tours - very personalized tour. Strongly recommended.

Fei was a great guide, she explained us the story of each place we visited. She speaks good English and she is very friendly. The tour highlighted the area that you have to visit, it was a great time visiting Tofukuji Temple, Fushimi Inari Shrine and Geisha District in Gion street:)

Our guide, Kensai, was great. He took us to a temple and a shrine that were out of the city centre so it was less likely we would have visited them on our own. In our tour of Gion, beside the sights, he showed us where we would be able to spot geishas and sure enough we did. Overall is wonderful.

Our tour lady was great and could actually speak 3 languages fluently.
This is more than what we expect. We had a wonderful time and relaxing evening from the start through the end. She has warm personality and knowledgeable in Japan history. We enjoyed every minute of it.... Excellent!

This was a fantastic way to see some of the sights in Kyoto. The tour guide Fei was was so informative and very helpful. I only had a short amount of time in Kyoto and and I would recommend this to anyone interested in the cultural aspects of Kyoto.

A bit hard to find our guide as we were not sure if we should be looking for a tour bus outside the Post Office. However the tour is all on foot and on trains around Kyoto ( a great experience in itself ) so the guide will be standing outside the PO with a distinctive cap on. Very personalised tour

Take this tour to see the sights and sounds of Kyoto the way the locals do. Our tourguides Hiro and Jagna took us around Kyoto by means of train and we went to see the beautiful Fuishimi Inari Shrine and Tofukuji Temple. Our tour highlight was when we went to the Geisha Districts and was able to see about 12 geishas about to go out for the night. The tour felt like we were sightseeing with friends and not with a tour guide. I highly recommend it!
One tip though, the tourguide will meet you at the designated meeting point so don't look for an establishment :o)

We expected a bus tour as nowhere on the tour description does it say that it is a walking tour (with public transport). After a very busy couple of days walking loads we and other tour members were a bit taken a back when our tour guide told us it was a walking tour. The sites were good but the guide was too laid back for our taste sort of letting the shrines/temples we visited talk for themselves. We would have liked more cultural information which was lacking. Not the "Cultural Tour" we anticipated. Reading the other reviews I believe it had a lot to do with our tour guide.
