Wonderful experience. We were a small group and everyone was able to go outside for pictures. They constantly moved the boat to give us the best views. The guys were extremely knowledgeable and very attentive. It is definitely an experience no one should miss.

Really wonderful experience with Dolphin tours. We happened to see about 10 whales on our tour. We also saw a baby humpback, with its mother, putting on a show for us! He jumped around for about 30 minutes, slapping his fin and whipping his tail around. Just incredible! The glacier experience was also pretty impressive. Though, not as much as the whale-watching. Obviously, a glacier is less exciting as it moves as slowly as... a glacier. It's still very fun to walk around and pick up ice chunks which have been frozen for thousands of years. We would still do both again if we had the chance.

This tour was wonderful! Our guide and boat captain were wonderful. They were interested in giving us as much information as possible. We got to see whales up close to the boat. It was a very worth while trip. They even gave a delicious snack of smoked salmon,,cream cheese and bagel.

Like all Viator Shore Excursions, these are tailored around your ship and are worry free. We started with the whale watching and I'd heard stories where people said as long as one person on board sees a splash, it counts as a whale sighting. I really wanted to see a whale so was a bit worried. This company were incredible. They start out with known sightings and when nothing was there, they moved around. The ship continually moved around and we must have seen around 5-6 whales on our trip. You have a guide on board talking you through what to look out for, but they were actively walking around to make sure people could see the whales. Considering you are out in the ocean looking for a live animal in a massive expanse of water, I was really happy with this. We didn't get to see a whale breach and jump, but I was in Alaska, not Sea World - I wanted the real experience and was over-the-moon with what I saw.

We then drove to Medenhall Glacier. Wow. That is an incredible sight and such a beautiful place. You can do a couple of walks there, and walk up to some waterfalls. If you have the time the do the walks. We ended up at the viewing gallery where you can listen to talks from various rangers, which are really interesting.

This trip took up almost all of our shore time and it was worth it.

It was amazing. The guides on board were knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic. They took us upclose to the whales and captured the excitement for us. I could actually capture a whale breeching on video and that was the highlight for me. I would recommend this shore excursion very highly.

We saw more whales than expected. The captain and crew were extremely accommodating from the hot chocolate to helping get close to the whales. The time flew by and the rate was much cheaper than booking on the ship. We had less than 20 people on our boat so it was not crowded.

The weather the day of our excursion was rainy and high winds. All the people that booked on the Carnival Legend had their excursions canceled. We were given the opportunity to cancel, however, nobody did. It was a good thing because the whales didn't care about a few rain drops and neither did we. We had a great Captain and tour guide. This was on of the highlights of our cruise.

Awesome! Having been to Juneau on a cruise coordinated HUGE boat to go look whale watching- this was MUCH better. Smaller boat, locally owned, good brief educational component on the boat. Mendenhall was a good hop to see before the whale watching - just enough to remember that the darn glacier is melting fast.

Other than the weather, our whale-watching adventure was wonderful. Both our captain and guide were so knowledgeable. We saw the whale close and upfront. I highly recommend this excursion.

It was a great excursion. I booked this tour independently during our Princess cruise for me and my 9 yr old son. Our initial group was split, so we shared the experience with only about 18 other people. The boat was roomy, clean and the crew I wish I could remember these ladies names! was capable and entertaining. We happened to be in the right place at the right time at the end of our whale filled 2 hrs which went by way too quickly when we were visited by a Humpback whale so close to the boat that we could see its long white pectoral fin. Amazing. Even the crew was excited about the encounter. It was hard to choose between getting that perfect shot or simply enjoying the view. Afterward, we were delivered to the Mendenhall glacier and found that we had plenty of time to hike to the waterfall and for my son to scamper around on the rocks, before the ride back to town. It was a terrific way to spent the day in Juneau. The excursion and the crew delivered.

Very good experience. The captain female - forgot name and deck mate female - forgot name - one of them was Amy were wonderful. Saw at least 8 whales. Saw 4 of them breach. The boat was comfortable. The bagel with salmon creme cheese spread was great. Also had hot chocolate. The deck mate was pleasant and seemed very knowledgeable about whales. We spent about 45 minutes at the Glacier, which was sufficient to view the glacier and the info center. A 15 minute movie was playing but I missed it twice my fault. A similar excursion was 65 more thru the cruise ship.

my only complaint is that the meeting place was said to be at the pier where the ship docked but actually it was at the tramway so i missed my 11:30 trip but caught the 1:00 but i was lucky that there was a vacancy at 1:00
