What You Can Expect
Whale Watching from Juneau
After pickup from your Juneau hotel -- or after meeting at Mt Roberts Tramway in downtown Juneau -- hop on a comfortable coach to begin your Juneau sightseeing tour. Enjoy views of Alaska's capital city nestled between stunning mountains and winding waterways. From the colorful port, you'll see sites such as the historic Red Dog Saloon, the Juneau Capitol Building and the Governor's Mansion; this unique modern city with an old-world charm has a new surprise around every corner.
At the end of your city tour, you’ll be taken to Auke Bay to board a boat for your whale-watching cruise. Spend two hours out on the water and enjoy beautiful ocean views as your professional guide helps point out whales and other wildlife such as bald eagles, seals, sea lions and black bears. Keep an eye out for humpback whales and playful orcas – once you spot one, the captain will slow the boat to allow for great photo opportunities from the viewing deck.
