About 20 people on an ample boat with both indoor and out door seating. Refreshments, very helpful crew and we saw every thing promised including many many eagles. Crew member played a green trombone and passed out hot chocolate. Who could ask for more. This was a good choice.

This tour delivered what all that it promised - lighthouses, totems, lots and lots of eagles and harbor seals. A lovely and informative day spent on the water with Captain Ron and his crew.

We were amazed at the quantity of balk eagles and eagle nests on this outing. The scenery was unbelievable, the excursion boat and personnel were great. We certainly got what we paid for and then some. Thanks.

A picture perfect day spent touring the waters of Ketchikan with a fun and knowledgeable team of guides. The salmon dip lives up to its rep and the yummy snacks hit the spot during our boat ride. This was a great trip and worth the money, The ride from the cruise port takes you through Ketchikan and out to the working part of the island. We saw eagles as soon as stepped on board as they were hanging out right in logger town. More eagles along the bay, a nice view of the totems at the Saxman village, great view of the little lighthouse and a bonus- some up close sightings of seals and sea lions catching their breakfast in the kelp beds. This is a fantastic tour when you have a limited time in port- five stars all the way! NOTE- the gangway is long and very steep. I would not recommend it for people with wheelchairs or walkers.

This was the first land tour of many excursions my wife and I booked to enrich our Alaska cruise vacation. Just checked the notes I wrote as we went along. A review I read when booking this tour indicated that the gangway from land onto the boat is long and steep; quite true! We saw only one lighthouse and only one set of totem poles; the tour emphasized sighting eagles' nests. The bus driver who drove us from Ketchikan to the dock was knowledgeable and entertaining. I enjoyed an informative conversation with the boat captain, and an even more pleasant chat with "Eddie," the assistant conductor on the top deck who played trombone to call whales. The experience was much richer when I made my way to the top deck, as contrasted with staying in the lower cabin.
