Excellent tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and handled subject very sensitively but not emotionally. All practical arrangements very good and professional approach. Would highly recommend. Note that half day trip is 7 hours door to door
This was a mixed bag, the tour guide on the bus was awful, he yelled at myself a a couple of other ladies about the size of our bags going into Auschwitz saying they were too big but on the bus he said they were fine. The guide inside was amazing and the tour of the camps was outstanding. A very sobering day out.
If you do not drive a car there, this half-day trip is recommendable. I found the video presentation aboard the bus very informative and a good way to spend about one hour bus ride.
Definitely recommend this tour if you are in Poland.
Very thought provoking and puts things into perspective . Be aware that this is a long tour tour, around 7 hours in total from pick up to drop off. Lots of walking because of the scale of the camp.
Can be exhausting both physically and emotionally.
Also be aware of weather conditions, we visited on a very hot day, afternoon tour so we were there whilst the sun set. Tourists who had visited earlier in the day found it very hard going in the heat, as there is very little shade.
Our guide was excellent, very knowledgable, informative and respectful.
What an experience. Tour bus driver and tour guide were great. Tour guide at both locations were very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this for anyone in the Krakow area visiting.
Guide at Auschwitz-Birkenau was wonderful, guides on the bus were great. A very humbling experience, and I would recommend it to everyone. Seeing it with your own eyes make a lasting heart-breaking impression, and the guides do a wonderful job of demonstrating the upmost respect to all those who perished here. Would have preferred to choose pick up location and time rather than go around the whole city picking everyone up, and also would have liked to know that we couldn't bring our bags in. Would have left it in the hotel.
Athough difficult at times to digest, this is an outstanding tour. Our tour guide was very personable/likeable, and knowledgeable. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes - there is a lot of walking involved.
professional guide in this sad chapter in history made the trip very special and memorable for us.
Throughly enjoyed it..so moving..the tour guide was exceptional and helpful .. well organised its definatly worth a visit
Very hard tour to rate since it was an overwhelming day. The history and horror of this tour is something everyone must see. The tour company and guide were excellent. Wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if it looks like rain since you are outside. Also bathrooms cost 1 polish zloty to use.
Very professional from collection to drop off. Staff and transport were great. Tour of Auschwitz Birkeneau was delivered well by our guide. Discount then given for Salt Mine tour next day which again was great.
A very shocking but interesting experience. If you are in Krakow, you shoulnt miss this place.
It is important to never forget.
The tour was extremely good-pick up from the hotel was quick and very well organised at Auchswitz. The only bit of information which would have been useful to know beforehand was that handbags must be smaller than an a4 piece of paper for entering Auchswitz. Overall, I would definitely recommend.
Well organized, good timing. A deeply significant trip. Recommended not as a tourist attraction but as a tribute to all those who suffered here.
The tour was the perfect length for us. we enjoyed seeing both Auschwitz I and II. The tour guide did his best to help create a vivid picture of the living conditions and daily lives of camp prisoners. It was a chilling experience and I highly recommend this tour.
Everyone should go and see this. It is very hard but makes you grow as a person!! The tour guide even said he was glad people come and see it and don't hide their eyes to what happened here!
This was a shocking and emotional experience. Our guide, Berta, was excellent, giving us time to take in the experience and giving us information in a calm and clear way. She would say....'imagine'....and brought it to life. She spoke so eloquently for those who died.
For me the meaning of 'concentration camp' became very clear with people being crushed together while living and then when dying. Unforgettable.
