This was a great tour and great value for money. As always with Viator it was well organised and we were picked up from our hotel door at the agreed time. The tour guide was really helpful and was happy to help us with a personal phone call to our hotel to resolve a mix up. I have used Viator many times before and will continue to do so in the future. Great company :-)
The Auschwitz-Birkenau tour was a humbling experience. The tour guide was passionate about his subject and this was imparted to everyone in the group. The arrangements were faultless.
The Wieliczka Salt Mine was so much more that I had expected. A mix of social history and art in a most unusual setting.
Both tours were well organised and enjoyable. Would recommend to others.
Fantastically organised trip, hotel pick up and drop off included. Very highly recommended!!
The trip to Auschwitz was excellent. Highly recommended. Tour guide very informative and spoke excellent English. It's a once in a lifetime experience you should not miss!
Salt Mines well worth a visit too.
Booking both tours together saved money and Viator booking process easy.
The kids and I enjoyed both tours. I'm from Polish background and it was great to have the kids learn about the history.
Our guide for auschwitz/birkenau, was very knowledgeable, I truelly believe this trip is something everyone visiting krakow should do, we need to take time to remember the victims of this horrible war.
Not sure as to why people feel the need to take so many photos found that a bit disturbing!
Very moving, tour was great and the guide was great, full of knowledge and information.
What a fantastic couple of days, and also what a contrast.
Day one was the visit to Auschwitz-Berkenau. The whole tour happened on time and exactly to schedule. The guide was very knowledgeable and professional, and managed to pitch the narrative to the tour perfectly. Her English was very good and she managed to answer any questions raised. This was a very sober, poignant visit. I would highly recommend to anyone planning a visit to this area of Poland.
The second day was a much more light hearted affair. The guide again was very knowledgeable and again her English was incredibly good. The tour was very interesting with some good humour thrown in for good measure. Again, highly recommended.
Viator made this very easy to book and everything ran very smoothly.
Both tours exceptionally worthwhile. Difference between Auschwitz I and II made very clear, with visits to both.
Salt mine tour outstanding!
The tour was terrific. We left on time and the communication beforehand was very easy. The tour guide at Auschwitz-Birkenau was great and full of information. She kept the tour moving but allowed enough time to view the sites. It was a very well tour. The only complaint was the lack of air on the bus ride home. We were in the back and it was miserable.
This is the most sobering experience of my life. A must see for anyone who visits Poland and particularly Krakow as Auschwitz is only an hour away. Once at the Camp the organisation of the tour is wonderful. Each group is allocated a guide - based on the language you speak - and then you walk around the to get grounds. The guide is extremely informative and at no time are you rushed to get to the end of the tour. At Auschwitz 1, the personal belonging of millions of Jewish people such as spectacles, pots and pans, prayer shawls, shoes, teeth and human hair are all on display. Towards the end of the tour you are taken to see the Crematorium and "shower block". This is very moving to say the least. To anyone who thinks this didn't happen, get to Poland and take the tour. Worth every dollar.
