A great trip, this was well worth travelling to see, very emotional trip ut guides were very good and explained all very well, didnt get to the salt mine due to illness in our group sadly
the Auschwitz tour was very emotional and puts into perspective the full size of what happened, good guides and transport pick ups were in good vehicles with great drivers. well reccommended
Great complete tour, good organisation, very efficient. Tour guides are very knowledgeable and great company, tours are organised by dynamic and motivated guides. I would highly recommend this tour for those who don't have enough time in Krakow - this is the perfect solution to visit two outstanding sites.
We had two days in Krakow, so we spent one day touring the city and did both of these tours the other day. This plan worked out great and both tours were top notch.
We felt this tour was really well done and appreciate the knowledge of the guides.
An amazing day. It is a lot of walking and a long day so be prepared. The tour does offer several opportunities for breaks however, and for purchasing food and drinks. The Salt Mine may not be a good idea for elderly or people with problems walking. It is a great deal of walking up and down stairs and is around a three hour tour.
Great tour but we thought that the tour was half day when it is actually an all day adventure. Great tour guides, very informative, just wish the website gave actual times that the tour is so that we knew they would pick us up at 7am and drop off past 7pm.
This was an amazing tour. Auschwitz-Birkenau was deeply moving. At Auschwitz, we were given head sets and our English speaking guide took us on an educational and emotional journey through one of the most tragic graveyards in history. The tour was long enough to see a lot of the death camp. Auschwitz is difficult to describe. Anyone visiting Poland should visit this tragic memorial/museum.
The Salt Mine was an extremely unique experience. First, it was a great escape from the summer heat wave. The mine was a cool 20 degrees c. The carvings and church was spectacular. The only complaint with this tour was that we waited in the group line for over an hour, but to make up the time, we didn't have to walk down the 300 stairs instead we took the scary elevator. If you have a fear of heights, the elevator can be an uncomfortable minute.
I suggest taking the two half day trips because you still have your afternoons free. Both tours involve a lot of walking, so it was nice to take it easy in the afternoon and enjoy the Krakow square. Wear comfy shoes and pack some snacks for both trips because there was no lunch and the tours didn't end until about 1.
Tour was great. Tour guides were knowledgeable and respectful on the first half of tour. The salt mine was definitely interesting.
A truly harrowing experience - this is not entertainment! If you're looking for some fun and tidbits of interest, go somewhere else. This is a reminder of who we, humans, really can be. I had a really hard time stepping into Birkenau - it was an effort to bring myself to walk in there. This was an experience to humble the most proud. I could not help but feel alternating rage and despair, especially because I had recently read David Irving's disgusting manipulation of history. This is a must for every human on the planet.
Great trip. Well organized. Lovely guide s all spoke very good English and were very helpful and insightful. Highly recommend!
Picked up from hotel with excellent guide. Day went very smoothly. A lot of walking which was fine for us but some people struggled
I think everyone should visit Auschwitz and Birkenau. What a humbling and moving experience. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and had even had a survivor of Birkenau on one of his tours who was able to give a first hand experience of what it had been like.
The salt mines were a bit boring and our guide wasn't great, she wasn't very informative and to be honest, 3 hours is a bit long. I'm glad I did the salt mines the next day as I think it would've taken the emotion of Auschwitz away a bit.
I LOVED Krakow as a whole and would definitely go back again.
Well worth the trip, Dorothy our tour guide was excellent, very informative, full facts. Pick up from and back to the hotel was very handy. Well worth it.
would recommend these tours as the organisation was very professional and informative the tor guides were excellent
Higly recommended for both days we did the early morning visits and this suited us the guides were punctual, informative and helpful, transport was a luxury mini coach. Read the information provided as you have to reconfirm your booking and Hotel details.
Both the Auschwtiz tours are very moving and had all of us in tears, especially the barracks where the stolen artifacts are on display, however, it is a must to see. There is a lot of walking, especially around Birkenau, however, the guides were very good and kept to the slowest persons pace.
The Salt Mines are incredible and words cannot describe the sights once underground, do not miss it. Once again plenty of walking and steps but once again the guide was very good, waiting for the last person before moving on.
Fantastic experience, both pick-up service and tour guides provided a wonderful service. I think the cost was very good value, I was recommended this particular tour by a family member, and I would recommend it to anyone I knew going to Krakow.
Perhaps the only problem, and it was relatively small in my case but might affect others more, is that I think it should be more clearly explained that although you are given a pick up time and details about how long the tours take, picking other tour users up from their hotels might delay the total tour time and hence affect if you are making plans for what time you will return at.
All in all though, myself and my boyfriend were extremely satisfied with the service and were very happy with the efficiency and friendliness we received from everyone involved, and it was a great start to our trip to Krakow :
Very well organised. FriendlY driver. Informative, sensitive guide. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent guides at both auschwittz and the salt mines. Comfortable coach and well organised. Would highly recommend
