This is not for people who are afraid of steps. They have brilliantly set up the tour so you only walk down steps, but there are like 800 of them in the complete tour, so wear comfortable shoes. If you are fit enough for this trip, by all means take it. This is a once in a lifetime trip. Think mines are all tight and tiny? Think again. They have made this one really quite open. The tightest part is the elevator ride to the top.

Brilliant trip - well organised and as we were a prebooked party we had priority entrance and a brilliant guide who had a wicked sense of humour along with a wealth of knowledge. Fascinating place - well worth a visit.

A tour not to be missed. Apart from the lift at the end which was a little claustrophobic, the tour was fantastic.

Only disappointment was we only got half down the mine due to it being closed for 2 hours before we visited due to a visit of dignitaries. Tour operators were not informed of this and it caused a bit of a queue and as guide and bus had to be back in Krakow for a certain time we only got half the tour. Not guide or operators fault. Extremely well organised by bus/tour organiser, guide and bus driver. Guide very informative and informal. If back in Poland would book again for full tour. Having tours prebooked before visiting Poland is a plus and saves lots of hassles.

An absolutely unique experience. It made everything so easy being picked up from the hotel and returned there afterwards. It is also helpful to be able to pay for the tours in advance, it helps the holiday spending.

The only downside about the salt mines trip was that I wish it was a bit longer. I absolutely loved it there! I could have spent the whole day down there and if I ever go back to Krakow, which is very likely as it's a beautiful place, I will certainly go on the salt mines trip again. It's a real must see!
