I definitely highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide was exceptionally informative. We learned from him an incredible amount about the history of Malaysia and the various inhabitants the Malays, the Muslims, the Indians, etc. We stopped in Little India and got the chance to browse around a bit and after the tour to the Batu Caves we got a chance to stop by a local area and view artists doing Malaysian Batik. The artwork was so beautiful. From pick-up to the drop-off, the tour was amazing. Beware of the monkeys when climbing towards the caves and temple. They are quite the mischievous bunch, but adorable at the same time. The guide should advise you on what to do and not to do such as avoid wearing anything flashy such as sunglasses because the monkeys may snatch them away. Also, if you plan on climbing the caves then it is best to wear a bottom piece that covers your knees this mainly applies to the women but I'd advise everyone to follow it just in case. Really interesting afternoon. Guide was really informative and talked about Malaysia on the way to the caves as well about the caves themselves. Batu caves were amazing but do take note of need for females to wear long trousers/skirt and cover shoulders. On way back we visited a Batik shop where we saw people making Batik. Although the hope for the shop owners was that we would buy, none of us on the tour did and did not feel pressured at all to do so. Caves are only about 30 mins away from city centre so a good tour to do in an afternoon.
This was a great, very organised trip. The visit to Batu Caves was amazing and so too was the temple.
Our guide was very informative and a lot of fun. The bus was comfortable and on time. If you are coming to Kuala Lumpur - book this tour.
This Batu Caves tour was amazing!!!! The statue is gorgeous and the place was not too crowded. You get to see monkeys on your way up to the caves and the way down. I witnessed hindu women singing inside the temple. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and told us about the history of the gods. I also enjoyed the visit to Little India.
I noticed that I left my sunglasses in the van after being dropped off. The tour guide returned them to the hotel the next morning. I am very appreciative of them taking the time to do that!
Exhausting steps to climb. If you are an adventurer it's worth it.
Excellent guide, temple tour was good, watch out for the steps especially on a humid day and take your time, but the views are excellent and the monkeys cheeky.
Our tour guide was the best! He made the experience amazing because of his funny and easy going personality. Luckily were we the only ones on the tour so we got to negotiate different times depending on our location. I highly recommend our tour guide again to anyone! 5 stars to him!
Tour guide was good and he explained very clearly .Booking through viator is convient.
What a great tour. The guide was very informative and helpful. All the stops on the tour were very interesting.
5Oct14 - Good Deed from Driver Muklis - I booked ourselves a Batu Cave Tour via Viator Malaysia and on the day of the tour on 4Oct14 for some reasons I forgot my backpack when we were dropped off at 5pm at our condominium Marc Residence at KLCC. The backpack contains my mini iPad and a bunch of important stuffs. I only found out about my lost backpack when I wanted to use my mini iPod sometime 9pm. I was already resigned of the lost, but, took a chance to call the tour provider of Viator who luckily I still have their SMS number (+60193147691). After about an hour of text messages I was assured by the tour provider that the driver MUKLIS shall drop by our condo today 5Oct14 at 8:10am. As scheduled Driver MUKLIS arrived with my backpack. Thank you very much MUKLIS and to the tour provider of VIATOR a certain BEE thank you for the assistance. #viator #visitmalaysia2014 #good deed
Guides knowledgeable and accomodating. The Caves Gallery and Diety history inside the lower cave system is a must-do for those that find the 270+steps to the higher cave not to their liking. There is a small Restaurant near the bus parking area that does great Roti canai and the owner gives a fascinating tea making demonstration on request by the tour guide
Fantastic trip, our guide Mr Sing was really interesting and had good humour. Caves were great and loved little India
The tour company was fantastic - Very professional, prompt and helpful. I would highly recommend them to all that visit KL.
Our tour was amazing because of our Tour Guide, Robby (not sure on the spelling). He was extremely kind, knowldegable and accomadating. The tour became so much more than just the Batu Caves and the Temple. He explained about the different sections of town and the different historical meanings of neighborhoods, buildings and markets. He was the best tour guide we have had while traveling and most certainly of all the Viator trips we have done. If it wasn't for him I am not sure I would recommend this trip. It is amazing to see the caves but also fairly easy to get to by subway. However, Robby makes me want to take the trip again. I learned more about Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur in our half day tour from him than I could have ever hoped to have learn on my own the entire length of our stay. We can not recommend him enough!
It was a great tour! The driver was very friendly and shared a lot of interesting information during the tour.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We ended up being taken on the tour by a very knowledgeable guide who gave us a lot of extra information about the city along the way. We were guided (just the two of us) in a minibus. Very professional.
Very professional and funny tour guide. Wasn't too long of a tour which is good. On time pick up and the day went to schedule.
Had a great day and our driver was excellent. There were only 4 of us and our guide explained everything. It was a long climb, but we did it slowly and it was wirth the effort. There were lots of monkeys in the cave so beware if you are carrying water bottles or food as they will take them! They were very amusing though. We also stopped at Little India and it was fascinating to watch them making flower garlands. There was also a stop at a batik factory, but beware this is a money making excercise, and very expensive, although I did buy a sarong.
