Our guide was great. Lunch was a bit dodgy. The elephants were awesome.

The personal driver was very good; he was interesting and knowledgeable about the country and the facility and knew exactly how long it would take to travel there. The elephant sanctuary definitely needs to keep investing in facilities. The movie room needs to be improved for size and quality, and the projector and screen need to provide a better picture. The availability of cold drinks for sale would have been very popular, as would have been souvenir elephant figurines. An official photographer should be on hand to take pictures of people travelling alone or in couples.

The journey from K.L was interesting. The visit to the elephants was not great. The picture showing people on the back of the elephants is very misleading, the elephants do not have carry seats you just sit on the elephants back and you are lucky if you are on the elephant for 3 minutes. Our guide did not take us to the rubber plantation and there was no local in season fruit either. The guide was in a hurry to get us back to K.L. before the rush hour traffic. If your guide asks if you wish to go to deerland please say no. The park is a disgrace and the way the 2 little sun bears are kept and treated is appalling.

It was a looonnnggg drive for 5 minutes of pure glee. We were lucky enough to go into the water on elephants back from the 1 minute ride! The day was unorganised with a lot of standing around waiting. The guide was very good and tried his best. Lunch was too spicy, even for my other half so I had a bowl of steamed rice. I wouldn't do again and would recommend to those closer. Our guide took us to a temple and a material factory to bide time - the cynic in me says 'well planned'. I spent money at the factory.
