This trip was more than worth the money. Our Guide was one of the nicest, most helpful men we have ever met. His knowledge of KL and the places we visited was first class, even his knowledge of the history of such places. His organisational skills and customer attention made this a trip to remember. This was worth every penny we spent! We were picked up at the time that we were told. Our guide was very organised and explained everything to us. Our lunch was very good - especially since my friend was Vegetarian and they only have a small range of vegetarian food in Malaysia. We LOVED Deerland. We got to hold all of the animals that we saw and it was like we had the whole place to ourselves. We LOVED the elephant feeding, riding and river bathing. Our guide made sure we were first to ride the elephant and first to go on the river ride so that we had more time to play with the baby elephants in the water afterwards. Anyone travelling to KL should DEFINITELY go on this tour. If you are an animal person you will LOVE this tour!!!

What an experience. My only advice would be to do this tour during the week. We did this tour on a Saturday and shared the Elephant Sanctuary with lots of locals, which made for quite a busy day. If you do this tour you must do the river ride and wash with the elephant. It does not sound nice but it is very memorable. We did not get sick from the Malaysian river. It was actually quite clean.

Everything about the trip was great except the price. The driver, the deer park and the elephants could not have been better, but the hotel offered nearly the same tour for less. If there had been only 2 of us, it would not have been much money, but for 6 people, it adds up.

From our 3 weeks in Borneo & Malaysia, this tour would have been the highlight. The elephants were just wonderful, being so close to them and feeding them. The river was flowing too fast so we were not able to wash them but instead they brought out two really small baby ones which were just adorable. The staff look after them well and you could see that they really cared about them. The stop at the Deerland on the way was also great - being able to hand feed a big strong sun bear was wonderful. This place was well looked after and again the staff showed they cared about the animals. Our guide was very professional and was very compassionate during our stop at a remote village where he brought along muesli bars especially for the children. The whole day was just great and would highly recommend this tour through this company. Our guide ensured we were comfortable, lunch was enjoyable and his vast knowledge of the country and the various districts was both interesting and informative. Thank you for a great experience.

Fantastic tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful especially at the Deer Park. I have a phobia of snakes so he made sure that the guy showing the snake there kept away from me as I walked past. Was great to get close to the deer and sun bear. Elephant sanctuary was definitely the highlight. The guide organised for me to have the last ride and got to go straight into the river on the elephant. Would definitely recommend this tour to others.

Awesome experience. I would have liked to ride the elephant for a longer time plus walk the elephant into the water. Still great and highly recommended. On the way, we stopped off and fed deer, fed a sunny bear by mouth, held a snake plus more, 5 STARS. Our tour guide was awesome, full of information, and he queued up for us at the elephant sanctuary so we didn't have to wait long.

Had a fantastic day. Our guide was full of knowledge on Kuala Lumpur as well as the rest of Malaysia. He took us to a deer park to hug sun bears, which was a great experience. At the Elephant Sanctuary, our guide requested that we have the last elephant ride, which meant we had a longer ride as we went down to the water on them. Overall a great experience.

Of all the tours we did this was the best. We had a great time, the elephants were brilliant and the deer park was great. We got to hold all the animals and feed the bears. Our tour guide made the day exceptional for us he went out of his way to look after our belongings and take photos for us and he was very informative.

An awesome experience. Doesn't take a whole day though. Tour guide sounded more like Malaysian propaganda from the government than a person with interesting facts about the area. Tour guide deleted all photos from my camera.

It's a long drive to get to the elephant sanctuary. The bonus is that it gives you the opportunity to see a small part of Malaysia outside the hustle & bustle of KL. Our knowledgeable although quite fussy guide ordered an enjoyable & tasty lunch, provided a lot of interesting information, & organised some extras at the sanctuary: We were allowed to ride the elephant out of the river. The only lowlight is definitely the Aboriginal village. What is the point? This is a slum. The locals don't interact; they are lying around doing nothing. The children only come out for bribe lollies, & the guide seems to revel in showing the filth by expecting us to take photos of the the litter everywhere, & the squalor within the homes. This is not an opportunity to see people lifting themselves above their circumstances or trying to help; it is simply poverty. Enjoy the countryside, the cowboy town, the fruit & especially the elephants, but give the village a miss.
