well organised, good commentary, and plenty of time to view everything. with the lunch I was a bit disappointed because I Do not eat fish or chicken.
Pickup was prompt with a very informative and friendly guide who was a font of information, with several stops on the way explaining about the conditions that villages lived under. He was also an excellent guide around malacca with a vast amount of information about the history of the area.
very good, guide spoke excellent english and service was exceptional. Itinerary was flexible enough to acomódate our wish of buying fruits. lunch included was also of good quality.
A one to one trip. The guide is very knowledgable about Malacca and gave a very good history lesson about Malaysia.
Definitely ride in one of the Bicycle rickshaws - a surreal experience with THE most eclectic music accompanying: try Linkin Park, Britney Spears, Gregorian chant and local Malaysian tunes on from one boom box. The Nonya lunch is delicious and as I got to meet the chef, also a culinary education. So much to see and do in Malacca. My driver was knowledgeable, extremely helpful and considerate.
All in all, very worth the spend. Thank you for an awesome day.
Don't just stay in KL - book a tour to Malacca. We had a private tour which meant we could see more of what we wanted to and we didn't have to wait on anyone else.
Great day out to see the historical town - the impacts of the Dutch and the Portgueuse. Definitely worth putting on your itinerary.
Our tour guide was very friendly and had a lot of information about Malacca.
Interesting trip with excellent guide in an air-conditioned Mercedes - as with everything else from this tour company it was a great experience at a very reasonable price
Malacca was a wonderful trip. I learned a lot about Malaysian history and culture, in addition to visiting such great sites. Thank you very much!
Fantastic day. Learnt a lot about Malacca and Malaysia that we wouldn't have on our own or on a group tour. Money well spent.
The private tour was organised very well. Go at your own pace and wander where you want. The lunch included was very nice as you get to choose your meals. My only suggestion would be to provide cold water during the drive as a welcoming touch for the tourists.
Tour guide was excellent but lunch assigned by the agent was horrible, not recommended at all
Nice day-trip from KL. Sites visited are only so-so. The historic relevance isn’t so important for non-Malaysians, but interesting. Traffic and crowds are terrible. Avoid going on a weekend.
My guide was wonderful. Lunch provided is a set menu, but included a wide variety of dishes and was good.
Enjoyed the experience and info from the guide immensely. Would like to do it again!
Our guide was a bit laid back and not wanting to spend much energy on information. Left us to walk around alone quite a bit - but worth seeing this historic part of Malaysia and understanding some of the past.
very good.excellent guide. Tour well planned. Not too stressful. good timing. no tourist traps
The guide was excellent, a walking history book, but the trip itself is only worth it if you have time to kill and there's nothing left to do. There are some interesting sites in Malacca to view, but most of them are replicas, so it doesn't really feel like a true historical tour. Plus, the fare doesn't include any of the museum entries, just the hotel pick-ups and lunch. We were also hoping to do a boat ride on the river, but that didn't really happen either. In the end, I'd only recommend this trip if you want to visit temples and antique stores...
the positives: the town and the history is very interesting, I had no idea that this town was such an important gateway for ships back in the days. The town is quite cute and there are a lot of interesting cafes and little restaurants and shops...that was the best part I suppose.
the negatives: the driver was late and so we didn't start out on a positive note, further the driver spoke very broken english and I had to repeatedly ask him to repeat himself (double negative I know), however the biggest beef I had was his quiteness and lack of knowledge of the area. I had to ask him over and over again what this is and that and this...he was a very nice man however being a tour guide was not his forte...so overall a bit dissapointing
Quite honestly, the driver and car were really fabulous, but the lunch was absolutely crap. I would've rathered eat at macdonalds store, because the meal was really yup. Everything else was really good, the guide was great., thanks.
Note from Viator: Thank you for your review. We apologize for the meal quality you may have experienced during your tour. We have contacted the tour company and have addressed your concern with them. Thank you for helping us ensure the quality of our tours.
Tour was OK. Would have been better if the guide came to the various sites with us instead of giving us information in the bus and then waiting for us
I was charged a substantially higher price than other travelers. My guide quoted incorrect facts and was not really interested in what he was doing.
One day is not enough to see Malacca. Price stated that it included entrance fees, but on arriving our tour guide said we where responsible for all fees. Tour guide was very political and had his own views and did not allow us to talk at all. He took control of the whole day, and it drove us insane.
