Great guides. Very informative. I will recommend it to all my friends
Great tour around the city. We tried foods that we otherwise wouldnt have found by ourselves.
The tour guides were informative and accommodating to our requests. Definitely worth taking this tour.
This was a birthday present whilst on holiday in KL and was a fantastic birthday treat that i would highly recommend (even if it is not your birthday). Charles was extremely knowledgable about the history, culture and food on our tour and his relaxed and affable style added to our overall enjoyment. We ventured into areas / alleys and tasted food / drink that we would certainly have avoided had we been on our own and the tour certainly opened our eyes to a generally unseen aspect of KL by tourists. The tour was well paced with lots of food and drink stops and it certainly boosted our confidence to try similar food stalls when we travelled elsewhere in Malaysia. Overall a fantastic tour and if possible i would recomemnd doing it when you first arrive to quickly get your bearings and perhaps have the opportunity to return to some of the food stalls / areas again during your holiday.
We learnt so much about the Malay local dishes and roaming around the small food stalls....Super fun!
Charles did a great Job - we saw places we would never be if we took the tour on our own. ALso we had nice food - much more as we can eat.
I had never eaten off a banana leaf with my fingers.
Heaps to drink
u need them in the heat..
Don't eat breakfast.
Found out heaps about KL
Good but not great. Our guide was certainly helpful and interesting to listen to, but he was less than stellar. We didn't walk away feeling like we had a rich understanding of the food we ate and the context of the neighborhoods we visited. Sure, we learned the basics, but we expected more.
We were escorted on this walking tour by Charles who was engaging and funny, he also brought along an apprentice who was also a very nice man. There were only 3 of us on the tour so we got plenty of attention. The start of the tour is a bit out of KL CBD so we weren't sure if we were in the right place and it wasn't totally convenient to get there. The tour was informative and fun, we ate Indian the traditional way with our hands, enjoyed Indian snacks and deep fried "tea time snacks" and lastly Chinese noodles. It was all street food, eaten on the street. This tour ended in the China town markets which was good for shopping but again we had to make our own way back to the hotel.
