The tour was well organized. We came with a cruise ship and the guide was waiting at the Pier as appointed.
We got good information about the country and then to the sides wie visited.
The lunch in a nice garden was really good.
We were a little surprised that we should also visit a carpet manufactury. This was one reason that wie choosed this tour because we are not interessed in carpets.
However, it was interesting and we have not been forced to buy one:-)
This tour was jam packed full of great things! We had a great guide who had knowledge and a great way of teaching about each site that allowed us to really understand the history and significance of every stop. The only thing that we could have skipped was the unexpected stop at the leather store and fashion show that we were all led to. I would have rather spent more time at the other stops. Since we were the only ones on this tour that were part of a cruise, and needed to be back to the ship on time, our reliable guide arranged a ride back for us and we made it in plenty of time to board the ship, just as Viator promised!
Beautiful experience and great food! Wear comfy shoes, and be prepared for the heat. Covering the skin is better than sunscreen only.
This tour is a must when you are in Kusadasi. It covers everything you need to see in one day. The tour guide was excellent, the minivan was pleasant, and the sights were amazing. We would definitely recommend this tour.
We really enjoyed our tour of Kusadasi and the ruins at Ephuses. Our guide was very informative with a good knowledge of the area and was very helpful. We would have liked to have done the terraced houses but didn't realize until later that they were not included in our tour, or we would have paid the extra to do it as our Son has done them and said they were one of the best parts of the tour. We were impressed with the carpet weaving, but did not appreciate the factory owner putting pressure on me to buy a carpet which I did not want to do. I was admiring the skills and beauty of the carpets and he really was pressuring me and I had to tell him that is not what I went there for. But the Turkish meal was good and plentiful for our group. So all in all it was a good tour and cheaper than the Ship tour for basically the same thing.
Unfortunatly it was a very rainy day and also very crowded at Ephesus but our tour guide was excellent and managed to keep us dry (supplied umbrellas to those who didnt have them) and was very informatitive. It is a very interesting excursion and I would recommend it to anyone.
We staring our tour with I lot rain, but our tour guy Murat was amazing and did make sure that we enjoy they got us there safe and sound. But I do recomend this tour to anyone and the House of Mary was interesting.
We loved the small-group tour of Ephesus. The guide was waiting for us when we got off the ship (very easy to find). The van was clean and had AC. The lunch and carpet making demp were fantastic, as was all the info given in Ephesus and at Mary's house. We had a much better experience than others on our cruise (who went through the ship's excursion. I would highly reco this tour!
Although a wet day with many visitors at the site we experienced a wonderful tour of this amazing place. Your guide was brilliant- she was the only one with a green umbrella so we couls locate her with ease. Hedr cvommentary was first class.
This was a good tour and our guide was very knowledgeable. We certainly would have missed some of the significance of the Ephesus site if we went on our own. Our guide scheduled visits to St Johns church and the Virgin Mary's house to go at the least busy time, however, with several cruise ships in port and Ephesus being the star attraction, you cannot help but share the Ephesus experience with hundreds of other people. Still, our guide did a great job getting us through the site. I did not like the carpet presentation at the end. While the lunch was good and the presentation interesting, of course there is a hard sell to buy a carpet. I had absolutely no interest in buying a carpet, so it made me feel awkward. However, all the tours seemed to include this stop
Mr. Merat, our guide was outstanding in all respects. Very knowledgeable! There were only 5 of us on this excursion and the van was almost new and comfortable. Only downside was the long carpet presentation at the end of the tour. I highly recommend this tour.
Everything about the tour was perfect. The vehicle was really comfortable, the tour guide outstanding and the programme extremely well organised. Anothet highlite was the traditional lunch. I can really recommend this visit to anyone!
Our guide, Ismael, was very well informed and spoke excellent English. Old Ephesus was definitely the highlight and was not very crowded the day we went. Mary's home and John's church were also fascinating. The Turkish lunch was quite good and the carpet weaving demonstration educational.
