Excellent way to see some of the most important sites in Kyoto. Excellent selection of sites. Lunch was good. But could only understand about half of what the tour guide said, especially the one in the morning, due to the accent.

They will take you to the most important temples in Kyoto. If you stay in Kyoto for less than two days there is no better way to see all this temples than this tour. But prepare yourself for a very long and really working day.

It was a great tour. We didn't see Nijo Castle because of the Aoi Festival, but the substituted site was still worth the visit. Tour staff were excellent.

It was an interesting tour but we had some difficulty understanding the guide.

The tour leaders were great, though the last stop was very rushed - the tour should have been extended by an hour.

Very good except if you sit at the back of the bus, you'll always miss some of the guide's talking.

It would have been nice if the tour guides would wait until everyone got off the bus to begin talking. The afternoon guide walked us to our hotel, as it was not accessible to the bus.

I was reluctant to sign up for this as I'm not a big fan of tours. However, after seeing and learning about the shrines, temples and gardens of Kyoto I highly recommend this tour.
Our first tour guide was 'okay' but the second was great. She spoke great English and really made the tour entertaining and educational. She spoke not only of the places we visited but of the country and people of Japan as well. I'd have to say that the tour was definitely a highlight.
Landscape is unbeatable, but too many stops in one day. If you just have one day trip, it is good. But this was my 2nd day on the roll.

Our tour of Kyoto Castle was limited because of access restrictions. However, the surrounding grounds were very interesting, and if you have the opportunity to see them on your own, you will be rewarded. A trip to the Gion district would have been much better.

After a better walking tour the day before, we found a whole day a bit tedious. Tour guides were good, but felt a bit like a herd of cattle.
