Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Kyoto Morning Tour: Kyoto Imperial Palace, Golden Pavilion, Nijo Castle. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
A nice balance of sightseeing, listening to information about the things we were looking at, and time to take some photographs. The host was wonderful and had some nice stories to tell that I would have otherwise never found out.
We enjoyed visiting the locations, and the tour guide was so much fun to be with.
The Imperial Palace was closed on weekend so it was replaced by a Temple visit instead. The Golden Pavilion is so magnificent, that i wished i could go back to photograph it during all four seasons. Nijo Castle was rich with the Samurai heritage, learned many historical facts about the castle and its Shogun.
Tour Guide and accommodations were outstanding. Very interesting and informative tour. Gide was very knowledgeable and had many interesting historical facts. Really appreciated her attention to detail. Even though we were a group tour, she attended to us as individuals as well. This was well worth the time and very small amount of money. Would highly recommend this tour to others.
3 great places to see for just half a day. The tour guide is excellent!
Loved the tour. . .first time for me in Kyoto and the highlights were very special. I have mental snaphots of the beautiful buildings that I will cherish forever as well as actual photographs.
The guide was very efficient and spoke excellent English. All of the places were very interesting.
In a very little time, we had the chance of visiting three sights of great interest in Kyoto, which would probably take us two or three days if we went on our own.
Incredibly knowledgeable and humorous guide who was highly proficient in English. We loved her enough to get pictures with her and our group. Kinkaku-ji is amazing, truly a wonder! We highly recommend this tour and the afternoon tour. Stress free pick up and drop off at the Shin Miyako hotel.
Excellent way to go see 3 of the main places in Kyoto. Informative guide. Got some free Japanese lessons too.
This was a really great tour, lots of visits to historically significant sites such as the Kyoto Imperial Palace and other sites visited. Had great tour guides who were all very knowledgeable regarding past and current historical facts related to the beautiful Kyoto Imperial Palace, the Golden Pavilion, and Nijo Castle. I would recommend this tour to anyone having an interest in the rich history in the Kyoto area.
Excellent tour of Kyoto! Loved the guide. He was very humorous and had lots of anecdotes to share. The tour delivered as promised and is highly recommended for folks with short time to spare in Kyoto.
A great snapshot of Japanese history. Our tour guide was fantastic !
Tour guides are almost as important as tour itineraries, and we were very lucky on this tour to have 'Casey' as guide. His commentary on the three wonderful sites we visited was not just informative but enlivened with a gentle humour and the addition of fascinating snippets of historical and contemporary detail.
The organisation of the tour was efficient, and overall it provided an excellent introduction to Kyoto and its treasures and pleasures.
The tour was very enjoyable and informative thanks mostly to Mr. Yoshitaka Harada. He was very conscious of the members of the group and made a great effort to help us understand the Japanese culture and the places that we visited. Would well recommend this tour and would love to attend more tours
