Great day and a wonderful lunch in the heart of Kyoto. This tour covers a lot of ground that might otherwise be difficult to pack into a day trip yourself. Highly recommended
Great trip! The temples and shrines were spectacular. The deer park was quite entertaining and along with the the awe inspiring bronze Buddha, were the highlights of the tour. Buy food at the deer park, it makes for some amazing pictures!
This tour was perfect if you want to see a lot with limited time. It also worked well when you travel with an older 77 person and a bus will take you from place to place.
I highly recommend this tour. It was very well organised and our tour guide Marie was fantastic! She was funny and energetic and had heaps of information to tell us about life in Japan. The sites were amazing, the view from the top of the mt in Hakone were stunning. DO THIS TOUR! Will not disappoint!
All the places we went to were interesting, and I felt there was an adequate amount of time at each location. I would have preferred some more free reign instead of mostly having the group stay all together, but people would always wander to take pictures and then come back anyway so it was ok.
Great day out with loads of info and more from a very knowledgeable tour guide
This was my second time taking this tour, yet I still learned a lot and had a great time! The tour guide was very informative and entertaining! You get to see so much and the price is reasonable! The food they served for lunch was also delicious! This is a great experience for first time visitors to Japan!
Excellent tour, well organised, guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful!
Our guide, Yuki, was fabulous. This was a wonderful way to make the most of a short time in Kyoto. Also, it was wonderful that the tour included a viewing of the Imperial residence - something that is impossible as an individual as special permission must be granted months in advance.
Very well organized tour, with a very professional and knowledgeable guide.
This was quite a busy and full on day, not helped by the heat in Kyoto on this day! The trip to Nijo Castle was highly informative and interesting, but the icing on the cake was the trip to visit the deer in Nara! There is a huge temple which we took the time to be shown around, but feeding the deer and getting them to bow to you was loads of fun.
You can buy deer biscuits for 100 yen, which contain natural ingredients and made me feel much better about feeding them.
It was a long day, probably not advisable for young children as there was a fair amount of walking involved but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Awesome tour! Even though Kyoto itself has a lot to offer to last for years of temple-viewing, visiting Nara was a refreshing and unique experience that was totally worth the trip. Lunch was great and the temples in Nara were pretty amazing. The tour guides both in Kyoto and in Nara were great at explaining the surroundings, context and history. I'm glad to have taken this tour.
Very Nice tour! Nice lunsh and wondeful sights. Talented tour guides
An immersive experience which would enable to you jump back in time and appreciate the glorious Shogun era and other heritage sites.
This is a good tour for someone who only has a short stay in the Kyoto area, but would like to see the major spots.
I was happy to be able to visit all the major spots in Kyoto and Nara in one day.
Very good tour, very good tour guides and an enjoyable day out, well worth it, amazing!!!
This tour was amazing, we had an excellent guides and got to see everything on schedule.
Great value! This tour is jam-packed with non-stop sightseeing, entertainment and history. There is a lot of walking through some rough terrain with beautiful sights, so make sure to bring your camera and good closed toe shoes. The tour guides were nice and very informative lots of talking. The bus ride was comfortable and the lunch was unique and delicious. If you have a limited time in Kyoto then I highly recommend this tour. But if you're one who likes to take their time at each place and/ or do self-guiding, then this might not be for you. Overall I really enjoyed myself. I only wish I took a tour in Tokyo too!
Very nice tour. The Kyoto morning tour was very informative and hospitable. I actually enjoyed the tour despite the heavy rain. After that we were dropped off on the first restaurant for the transfer for the Nara afternoon tour. The tour guide, Ms. Itsuko, was very enthusiastic in delivering the tour from Todaiji to the Kasuga Shrine. Sunrise tours also dropped us off at our hotels. Plus points for customer service.
Yumi our guide in the morning was AWESOME!!!! Great morning!!!! The afternoon to Nara was incredible!!! Lunch was ok. Great tour.
