Most enjoyable cruise - with wonderful dinner.
Would recommend to anyone visiting South Lake Tahoe area.
The experience was great. We met some really nice people at our table and conversed with them throughout the evening. I want to go again.
The meal and service were exquisite, and the views unparalleled. If you need a wonderfully different kind of night out, this is it. After dinner we listened to the band upstairs. It took awhile, but finally folks got up and danced, and it turned into a magic, unforgettable evening. Enjoy to the fullest.
This was enjoyable from start to finish. The group that entertained us was excellent. We were also surprised at the quality of the meal served on board. We thought it was a great value for money, especially as the Dixie staff picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel.
We were concerned that the dinner cruise would be cancelled because of the 30mph winds. However, the ship was very stable, the food was very good, and the band played all the right tunes. A great time, worth the money.
The cruise itself was very nice. I loved seeing the beautiful Emerald Bay. The dinner service was lacking. It took 45 minutes to finally get someone to open my bottle of wine and bring me glasses. The other tables were already being served their appetizer and salad before I even had a drink. Another man at my table ordered a beer which took nearly an hour to get. The dinner service was the only thing that I did not enjoy. The rest of the experience was awesome.
We had a lot of fun with my families. I like the dancing and the food is delicious especially the dessert. Awesome. I will try to do it again.
I was disappointed that the dress code was so casual. Instead of a dinner crusie I felt I was on a boat ride. Food was good.
All in all, it was a good time. However, my husband was not happy because "Dress Code - appropriate attire is casual to dressy. Men traditionally wear sports jackets" was not really the attire. We were about the only ones dressed up-some even wearing shorts and sweatshirts. The food and beverage was ok but served in plastic!?! The band was good and entertaining. The staff was nice and even sang "Happy Birthday" to my husband. We arrived to Emerald Bay when it was already dark so we missed out on the beauty of the bay... We did have a good time, but not sure it was worth the price.
