What You Can Expect

Death Valley Explorer Tour by Tour Trekker

Death Valley Explorer Tour by Tour Trekker

This Death Valley Jeep tour begins with a hotel pickup in Las Vegas.

First, make a brief stop at the Furnace Creek Visitor Center to gather some maps for the journey. Browse some of the books for sale and collect a Death Valley stamp for a National Park passport, if desired.

From there, drive to the Badwater Basin, the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere at 282 feet below sea level. This surreal landscape at Death Valley features one of the largest protected salt flats in the world — too harsh for most plants and animals to survive in. Then travel down Badwater Road to the Devil’s Golf Course, a large salt pan on the floor of Death Valley, located in the Mojave Desert within Death Valley National Park. The rain and wind continually erode this region, shape-shifting the ground into different-looking terrain with the weather.

Finally, experience the most breathtaking view in Death Valley: Dante’s Peak, a mountaintop overlook more than 5,000 feet above the desolation of Death Valley. Pull out the smartphone or camera to capture the breathtaking panoramic views. Interestingly, on a clear day, Mount Whitney, the highest point in the United States, and Badwater Basin, the lowest point in the US, can be seen from here.

Along the way, learn about Death Valley’s history, landscape and wildlife, plus the urban legends of ghost towns and long-abandoned gold mines along the way.

Lunch is included, so please make a sandwich selection in the Special Requirements field at the time of booking. Choose from turkey, Italian, ham, deluxe turkey (with cranberry and stuffing) or veggie.

Notice: This tour is seasonal and only operates from September to May.

Fab, everything went smoothly. Picked up on time, friendly knowledgeable guide / driver. Taken to all the best viewing points / places and given enough time. Packed lunch provided and was nice too.

Good Driver/Guide. Worth seeing. Only complaint when I confirmed the pickup time I was not asked what we would like for lunch and we ended up with what was left over. The company supplying the tour should have relies when I confirmed the booking that we had not ordered lunch.

Not as Awe inspiring as the Grand Canyon but still an amazing sight to see.
Very well looked after by the Pink Jeep company and our guide.
Its amazing how still and quiet it is when down at the salt flats, seems like a million miles from Las Vegas.
The heat isn't too bad to contend with, with the Jeep tours, as they supply plenty of cold water to drink and as your often in and out of the air cooled Jeep, on the sight seeing stops, the heat is bearable.

Truly magnificent...and the day trip was just enough. If I were never to get back to Death Valley, I saw enough to appreciate the raw beauty and wonder of it all. At the same time, it raised enough interest to perhaps someday return explore further. Tom was an excellent guide. His knowledge of the entire surrounding areas was evident and his easy-going nature put us all at ease. Our small group and the PERFECT weather (in March) capped it all off.

Death Valley is amazing. And Tour Trekker was a great way to see it. Pick-up was at our lodging, and was right on time. Our driver and tour guide, Mike, was very knowledgeable about the entire area and made our day long journey fun, interesting, and educational.

Visiting Death Valley has been on my bucket list for a long time. The pink jeep tour by John exceeded my expectations. He was very informative and such a naturalist. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and am hoping to have him take me to Zion National Park Soon

A great tour. Mark was a great guide and made sure we saw as many sights as possible. Death Valley is truly a remarkable place, unlike anything I have ever seen. I am so glad we were able to do the tour. Death Valley is something you really need to see in person. Pictures do not do it justice. The pink Tour Trekker vehicle was a fabulous way to explore and very comfortable. Well worth the price.
