Upon arrival at the Hualapai Indian Nation Airport you will board a jet powered helicopter to descend 4,000 feet decent below the rim to the canyon floor. Here you will join a pontoon river boat for a relaxing trip on the mighty Colorado River as you admire the colorful canyon walls from nearly a mile below the rim.

After your 20 minute boat ride you will board the helicopter once more to ascend back to the top of the rim where you have time at leisure to visit the West Welcome Center, and use the hop on hop off shuttle bus which operates in the area. During the short trips between each stop, a Hualapai Indian driver/guide will tell you about the local land owners and the history of the park.

You can visit Guano Point for fantastic views of the Colorado River and where a casual barbecue lunch will be served. Explore the Indian Village at Eagle Point to gain a further insight of the native Indian culture, or take an optional stroll on the Grand Canyon Skywalk (not included, approximately USD25.00), the newest attraction to the West Rim.

FAQ's


• How should I dress?
  All passengers should wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes (no high heels.) Women are advised to wear slacks or shorts. The temperature at the Canyon can be as much as 20 degrees cooler than Las Vegas. It is best to take a jacket or sweater that can be left on the plane if it is not needed. During the summer months, the temperature is very similar to what we have here in Las Vegas.


• Are tours handicap accessible?
  This tour is not handicap accessible since the ground at the Canyon is uneven and not paved in many areas. Also, wheelchairs cannot be stored on the aircraft and there are no wheelchair rentals at the Canyon.


• Why do children pay full fare?
  Anyone who occupies an individual seat must pay the full fare. Only infants and children who weigh less than 20 pounds (stone 1.3 or 9 kilograms) may be held on the mother's lap at no charge.
