Grand Canyon West Rim Air and Ground Day Trip from Las Vegas with Helicopter and Boat Ride
Your exciting day trip from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon starts with an approximate 30-minute airplane ride to the Grand Canyon West Rim that will give you amazing views of Boulder City, Lake Mead, Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon itself.
When your fixed-wing plane lands at the Hualapai Indian Nation Airport on the West Rim of the Grand Canyon, you will then board a helicopter for your thrilling helicopter flight to the basin of the canyon. Descend 4,000 feet (1,220 meters) to the Grand Canyon floor, where your adventure continues on a 20-minute pontoon-boat ride on the mighty Colorado River! Learn about the history and culture of the Hualapai Indians from your bus driver and on-site guides as you enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime journey.
Following your trip back up to the rim of the canyon, board a comfortable coach for a short sightseeing tour. The coach stops at both Eagle Point and Guano Point, where there will be plenty of photo opportunities.
Then enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch at Guano Point, 4,000 feet (1,220 meters) above the Colorado River, and take in the panoramic views before returning to the airport for your return flight to Las Vegas.
Total time at the canyon is approximately 3.5 hours.
Upgrade! Purchase a ticket to the Grand Canyon Skywalk, a glass bridge suspended 4,000 feet above the floor of the Grand Canyon. Buy your tickets ahead of time and avoid long lines at the West Rim.

This is the second time we've done this Grand Canyon trip. The first was 10 years ago with a different company and this trip was far better, both from the point of view of organisation and helpfulness and friendliness of the guides and other staff. We would highly recommend flying with Vegas 500. We'd also recommend doing the morning trip (although it does involve a VERY early start) as you arrive at the Grand Canyon before the day trip coaches and it's fairly quiet. By the time the afternoon trips arrive the whole place is chockablock with tourists with long queues for everything.
