The helicopter flight was great trip but got the 'hard sell' for the DVD which was not worth the money.

This is a must-do trip when you're going to Vegas. It was well organised; it was a bit cramped in the helicopter, but it was worth a little discomfort for the views. The pilot was very informative but too pushy about a gratuity.

The complimentary upgrade was a stop at some ranch that was owned by the same person as the helicopter company. I really wanted to avoid the whole "cowboy" experience, so this was extremely annoying. They clearly only offer one tour, the one that takes you to the ranch. Nevertheless, the canyon was awesome, no thanks to the tour operator.

We were picked up late and waited around for about an hour before the helicopter was ready. The "safety" video was 20 mins of trying to sell us a 60 DVD of our take-off, which was a bit ridiculous. Pilot was good, and flight was ok, although didn't do anything but stay very high up and did not land at all. Definitely could have been better.

I set up this trip from Vegas for my sister's birthday as the company needed 48 hours notice. I had to make way too many telephone calls at a very large cell bill charge - they kept putting me on hold or transferring me. When I finally got through to someone who would help with my confirmation number, it cost me more money for them to fax it to me. The day of the trip, the helicopter's air-conditioning didn't work, and it was 96 degrees that day. The headsets didn't work properly, and the pilot who thought he was funny just wasn't! Not one of us in my group would ever recommend this company for the tour. The company should really work on customer service and maintain its helicopters better.

I made the mistake of ordering their DVD of our trip, $60 for less than 5 minutes of us taking off with the last 90 seconds having a digital problem, as the picture was "pixilating" (don't know if that's the right word, but I think you get the idea). The pilot of the helicopter was very personable and a delight to fly with, which made the whole helicopter portion of the trip enjoyable. The stop at the Cowboy Ranch was not worth the trouble and the lunch was dried chicken with cold beans.

Advised that our whole family would not be travelling together for weight reasons. We fully understood this but would liked to have known beforehand. My daughter and sister were in a separate helicopter to the rest of us. We did the tour and were all taken to the ranch for breakfast etc. When it was time to leave my daughter and sister went but we were told there was a slight delay for us. At about 11.30am we were informed there was an AC problem and it would hopefully leave to pick us up at 12.45. This did get rather boring and I was concerned about my daughter and sister that had been separated from us. We were eventually picked up at about 1.30pm. It was a shame that this happed because it did spoil a nice trip.

The pickup van was 30 minutes late; then we waited for an hour at the airport. The pilot probably knew a lot, but he rarely spoke and was a bit smart-alecky about answering questions.

The helicopter trip was good. But there was a continuous strong draft from gaps around the door and roof making the trip a little uncomfortable.

It was not clear from the website description that the tour does not include a landing at the Grand Canyon. I found out that this was only a "fly over" tour. Had I known I would have selected other tour operators that are similarly priced but included a landing.

The limo was a van, the helicopter agency changed the date of the trip 3 times. They upgraded us to a ranch tour. Bad news - three hours of hot desert which could have been covered in 15 minutes. Food there was horrible. Pinto beans, baked chicken and slaw, this was not a good upgrade. I would not use it again . One good thing, we did have a good pilot.
