It was OK, but could have been better

The Grand Canyon was definitely worth seeing, but we went on an extremely hot day and I felt the time we had there, over 4 hours considering there was only 2 points we could visit, was too long. Also, at the end of the trip, the driver called my friend back to the coach as she had not tipped him. She had given the tip money to me to give to him and I was following her off the coach. I felt this was quite intimidating for a tip to be demanded of us in this manner.

We were told by the bus tour that there was enough time to do the helicopter ride and boat ride. In fact, there is not enough time to do the bus tour, helicopter ride and boat tour. We were the last party to get on the helicopter ride and after the boat tour, we rushed and ran from place to place. We were only at the skywalk, Guano lookout and Eagle Point lookout for a few minutes each. We didn't even have our lunch which were included in our price. The bus tour told us that we could leave once we told the helicopter company we arrived and got weighed in. The helicopter company told us we had to stay put and cannot leave the helicopter area. We were at the helicopter waiting area and landing pad for 1 hour and 15 minutes, which cost us valuable time.

The trip was ok, but there was too little attractions involved. Therefore, I don't find the price very reasonable, it's too expensive.

Having to be picked up at your hotel really early, only to find out you are not going directly to your destination but are going to a bus depot to be shuttled onto another bus after waiting in line and eating a terrible breakfast of a package Danish and a cup of coffee with a powdered creamer is not my idea of fun. When you get on the bus, you are told by the driver not to get mad at him, he is just a bus driver. No morsels of history or geography on the trip, and the trip to the Hoover Dam, which I paid extra for, was just a quick stop at the top of the highway to take a picture. Yes worth every penny...NOT!!!

First bus was comfy and clean; very nice driver. Some from the group didn't respect the clock and were VERY late for return trip to Las Vegas.

Our tour bus stopped prior to the dirt road to change buses. The bus we got on to in order to go to the Canyon then broke down on the dirt road. This caused our group to become separated. On the way back, we experienced a long delay to switch back to the original bus.

Having to switch from a very nice tour bus to a shabby, run down old bus with no air conditioning for twenty miles into and back out of the west rim was uncomfortable and unnecessary. The tour company made us suffer to save wear and tear on their comfortable bus. We had to take a shuttle to a bus, a bus to another bus, to another bus to the west rim, then the same thing back. The Skywalk was worth the trip, but it could have been alot more comfortable. The description reads "luxury tour bus with bathroom to the west rim," but we left luxury and restroom behind with another twenty miles to go.

Booking the tour with Viator was a good move. Their early morning courtesy call to ensure we did not miss our pick up was an unexpected extra. The online booking was also simple and painless. The tour itself was good - the Grand Canyon spectacular but fell down in a few areas.

First the advertised breakfast is nothing but bad coffee, a carton of very low quality juice lots of colouring and flavouring added and a packaged 'danish' that was less than edible.

The bus ride was fine except for the choice of movie which was clearly unsuitable for the small number of families with children on the bus. Unfortunately for us, and the other families, we were unable to prevent our children from witnessing domestic violence, a shooting, a murder and many uses of profanity. We are not prudes, but we would never show a movie like that to children.

We were glad we did not pay for the Skywalk as it was very expensive for what you got. You are unable to take your own camera onto the Skywalk so the only photos you can get are the ones they take for you. Sadly, the prices they charge for these photos would be well out of the reach of many people. Lunch is a limited choice so if you have fussy eaters, take your own food as they is no other option. The Grand Canyon itself is worth seeing, but if you can hire a car and pack a picnic lunch, I would suggest you drive yourself - especially if you have children.

Be honest. Let people know no cameras or backpacks allowed on Skywalk and must purchase a locker. Leaves a sour note and detracts from the experience since you tell us long waits, etc, but not this important fact.

The trip was ok however, I would like to feedback the registration process. The guy who handled our registration was not very friendly. Not a very pleasant experience early in the morning.

The Grand Canyon is a wonderful site. However, our bus driver, initially enthusiastic and friendly, was less so the entire journey back to the city, mainly because a few people arrived twenty minutes late to the bus. He walked away from his entire tip collection for the day.

People were not polite. Picked up from the hotel and lined up again in the tours office and we had move around front one bus to building to another bus with our luggage and kid.

Food for lunch was not impressive. We were expecting a buffet style and not a prison style queue holding plates and served baked beans, little beef or chicken, a bite size slice of cake and a sugar tasted juice.

Very well organized trip. The coach was very comfortable. Not enough time was available at the canyon, and there weren't any performances...just 3 people playing music and selling CDs. I felt rushed on the Skywalk.

THE ENTIRE TRIP WAS NOT AT ALL SUITABLE FOR ANYONE WITH WALKING DIFFICULTIES! I HAD MY FATHER IN A WHEELCHAIR AND WAS PUSHING ON GRAVEL AND ROCKS THE ENTIRE TIME. The fact that this was rugged terrain should have been indicated SOMEWHERE!

There was no cowboy hayride and show or cowboy cookout as indicated. Definitely false advertising regarding this. Some people on our coach took a helicopter ride; the craft broke down, and we had to wait an hour for them to get back on the coach...wasted time. The coach driver was very good and very knowledgeable about the area. Overall, not a very good value for money.
