This trip was everything we expected and more. Bill was our guide and he was amazing, we stopped at a park and he showed us horned sheep and he was able to tell us lots of things to see at the dam that we wouldn't have noticed otherwise. Amazing tour, would recommend it to everyone :)
Randy picked my wife and I up on time and had a Englishman with us. Couldn't of had a better trip! We took the early Sunday morning tour and there wasn't many people or traffic. A visit to Hoover Dam should be on everyone's bucket list.
We had a great experience with this tour. Our guide was professional, knowledgeable, and timely. She made sure we knew where to meet her, how to best navigate the dam, and gave good information about the surrounding areas as we drove. Highly recommend!
Fine trip with good people leading it. They know how to help you get the most from your Dam experience.
Id recommend this tour over the typical large tour bus for sure. Our tour guide Tom was great! The experience was very personable. We stayed at the Hard Rock hotel and many tours do not pick you up there, but this tour was right at the front door! Tom gave us tips and insight to make the most of our trip, and informative info. The only negative I would say about it was the drive in. While informative the overview was very scripted and difficult to interject with regular conversation. Other then this, I would highly recommend!
Highly recommend this tour - everything was A+. This was an excellent tour for those who don't have all day to spend on a bus! Hummer was in great condition, very very clean, well maintained. Our tour guide was Scott - he was fantastic, very engaging - personable, excellent driver. We were picked up at the hotel, we were early and so was Scott. Being ahead of schedule, he took us to a few interesting spots along the way (the new bridge that overlooked the dam and also stopped by a park to see if long horned sheep where out grazing). He knew all the nuisances about the dam and the surrounding area, very interesting learning about the history of that area.
It was very nice to spend time with someone who takes great pride in his job.
This tour is a must !! You won't be disappointed!
This trip was very fun. We had an awesome tour guide that was extremely knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make sure we had a good time. The hummer was a cool ride, much better than a van, bus or taxi. For the money, it was worth every penny and then some.
We had a great time with Randy our tour guide and driver. We enjoyed being on a tour with another couple which made it more personal. Randy provided historical information about Las Vegas while we drove to Hoover Dam. It was also convenient to be picked up from our hotel and returned back to our hotel at the end of the tour.
Tom was wonderful ! It was great to have a small group vs a large tour bus ! We have done the large tour bus and we are convinced that this is the way to do this tour , in a small group,in a NICE hummer, and with a very knowledgable tour guide on not just the Dam but on Las Vegas history. LOVED it!
We had a great tour. Our guide Marie was very knowledgable and we learned a lot about the whole area.
My husband and I went on the early morning tour with Tom from Big Horn Tours. Tom picked us up promptly outside our hotel. On the journey, Tom relayed lots of extremely interesting information about the construction of the Dam and Boulder City amongst other info. which really got your attention. He made it sound like a natural conversation as opposed to giving us scripted details. Tom fully briefed us on the entry procedures and tips to prevent queueing ( he did also say that the early morning tour tends to be much less crowded which I would agree with! ). The tour itself was fantastic and if you visit Vegas you must see this amazing feat of engineering as well as the scenery. Worth a walk across the bridge to be in Nevada and Arizona at the same time ( I'll leave that to your imagination) Excellent value for money and would definitely recommend
