Tour inside the dam was good would have been nice to have maybe half an hours more time. Our bus driver was great the boat ride had a good commentary, Lunch ok but just average - deli style. Over all a great tour. thoroughly enjoyed it.
A great day out for the price, well organised good time allowance at each point. Hoover Dam is very informative and the guide was friendly and knew his stuff. The lunch cruise was a great way to see the Hoover Dam and was a relaxing trip. Our coach driver was Melissa and she was great fun and had lots of stories to share. The visit to the chocolate factory on the way back to the strip was a little extra and they gave out samples. The only down side was the lunch - it was very basic indeed and even our driver apologised about it and said previous parties had been disappointed too.
Well arranged trip, could do with a little more time at the dam as it was a bit rushed to get to see everything. Lake Mead trip was good and relaxed passing by some beautiful scenery all the way to and from the Dam.
Hoover dam was an experience and what I hoped however the limited time at the dam meant we were not able to go on the tour inside the turbines which was regrettable. The tour on Lake Mead was great lasting 1.5hours however the lunch was average (turkey/ham roll and drink and piece of fruit). Maybe I was expecting more in the form of say a buffet lunch. Overall both tours were enjoyable.
enjoyed the tour, had a great tour guide, didn't have much time at Hoover Dam, barely got done with the inside tour and it was time to get back on the bus so we didn't get to look around outside or in the gift store. Lake Mead Cruise was very nice, we would do that again.
Pretty cool experience. The only complaint was that the bus's AC went out on the way home. The tour and boat ride was a great experience though.
Spencer was "dam" great!! I could do without the chocolate factory or the background of the Hoover Dam and more time at the dam itself and that's why I'm rating at 4 stars. No complaints at all for the cruise! Best part of the tour! Wish we had more time on the water! Overall, its worth the money!
Enjoyed this trip very much. Our driver/guide Spencer was very informative. the lunch on board the Princess left a little bit to be desired. Other than that well worth spending the day.
Had a great time and our driver, Spencer was an extremely excellent tour guide!! I would definitely recommend this tour to other people. Thx for the wonderful experience!
Enjoyed the entire tour. Starting with stopping at the famous Las Vegas sign. Ethel M Chocolates was another plus. The Hoover Dam tour was very informative and interesting and the Lake Mead Cruise was so relaxing. If you haven't seen Hoover Dam this is a great tour.
This was a good day out, the cruise on lake mead was lovely with lunch included. the only downside is that you are not given enough time at the hoover dam
Tour guide/ Bus driver was great. Hoover Dam was ok, they show you a movie and the tour guide then tells you the same thing. Lake Mead Cruise was nice but it was to hot to go out on the deck so we stayed on the lower level in the A/C, They need to improve the lunch a little.
Generally, the tour was good. I had read other reviews, so I was prepared for the transfer at the bus depot, additional $5 pp fee, relatively short time at the dam and so-so lunch on the Lake Mead tour. For the price we paid ($82pp plus $5 transer fee), I'd say we got our money's worth. I'm not sure if I'd put much value in the chocolate factory/cactus garden tour, but it was nice to stretch our legs. The bus driver had a good running commentary and gave us a much time as possible at the dam. What was unexpected was the bus drivers hard push for tips. He essentially told us that he expected a 15% to 20% tip. I know the wages are low in Vegas and that people rely on tips, but I was figuring more of a 10% to 15% tip for this type a tour. The tip demand left a sour taste on a tour that met expections for the price.
