I booked this flight with Viator as a 50th birthday surprise for my husband while we were vacationing in Las Vegas recently. He was over the moon! It was so worth it - something very unusual and breathtaking. Although the actual flight time is only a few minutes, the prep time at the heliport was fun with the champagne flowing freely and meeting people from around the world who were also taking the flight that night. I had this recommended to me by a friend and will definitely recommend it in turn.

The pre departure process was a joke- Had to wait about 2 hours before our 10 minute trip. People that were picked up after us boarded the helicopter first etc. However once in the air it was amazing and well worth the money! Id recommend anyone to do it! Just doesn't go for long enough.

We thoroughly enjoyed the helicopter trip, and it is well worth doing during your time in Vegas. The actual flight was great, and the pilot was really friendly and informative. The ground crew were fine, but there seemed to be quite a bit of hanging around before the flight, and the place where we waiting could do with a bit of a face-lift.

The wait from start to finish was approximately 3 hours for a 12 minute flight. They hard-sell you on the personalized DVD. Between the time I was picked up from the hotel and dropped off after the flight, I went on and off the shuttles probably 6 times! The helicopter ride was lots of fun...just don't forget to free up your schedule, and bring a book for the excruciating wait. BTW, I went on a Saturday with a pickup time of 8:05 p.m.

The flight was a little bit too short and the pilot could have been a bit more emotional. In my opinion his voice was quite mechanical when he explained to us what we saw.
