The canyon was brilliant and flying down to the bottom was something I will not forget. The whole experience was excellent and would recommend.
Excellent ! Both pilots were true professionals and made us very welcome. The chopper ride was the highlight - just brilliant!
This trip is definitely worth the money. The staff at Viator are very personable and easy to deal with. The trip began with a brief stay at their hangar. The hangar is air conditioned for comfort and attractive with neat models of airplanes situated throughout, both in picture form and actual aircraft displays. The staff was very attentive to our needs, offering us free popcorn and clear explanations for the many questions that we had. When it was time to board our aircraft, we were offered the opportunity to take a photo with our pilot, who had a very warm and fun disposition. The pilot gave us clear instructions on how to board and use the equipment aboard the plane. During the flight we had headsets to listen to a recorded tour guide as we enjoyed the breath-taking views of Hoover Dam and the terrain in general. The helicopter ride was awesome and the boat ride refreshing!
I believe this is the only way to see grand canyon......... awesome!!!!!!!!!!
Really well organised, had an amazing time. Well worth paying the extra to fly to the Grand Canyon. If I'm being picky....only thing I thought was a bit out of order was that you couldn't take your own camera onto the Skywalk. Staff took photographs, which I didn't think were particularly good, and were expensive to purchase. Apart from that....we had a great time.
Fantastic experience, all went as smooth as clockwork, would highly recommend.
We chose this trip because we could get the whole family (7 of us) in one helicopter, and the trip worked really well. (I loved the helicopter so much I'd have loved to do the whole thing in in!). The trip is quite full on, and a tad rushed but then you are ticking off flight over Hoover Dam, helicopter into the Canyon, Skywalk and lunch on the rim, so guess that should have been no surprise. If I'm honest, you could drop Skywalk if you felt you wanted more time at the Rim and to enjoy the lunch which was pretty good or do any shopping at the airport. Big thanks to Matt our helicopter pilot who encapsulated all the glamour a pilot should and made us feel we really were his first customers! Hard to be that fresh for every group but he did it. The helicopter into the Canyon is a must.
The trip was awesome but for the money I expected more. We were just left to find our own transportation on a bus that was hard to find. The food was not very good and had to stand in line for 20 minutes to get it. When we got back to the plane, the pilot was upset that we were a few minutes late. The ride to the bottom of the canyon was the only time I felt I did not have to rush. We went to see something we will never see again that cost a good amount and barely got to see anything. Never take this tour. Find something that gives you more time. If I go again I will use a different company. The airplane was not at Las Vegas airport as in ad. We had to drive all the way to Hederson.
Trip was great. We were picked up at our hotel and taken to an airplane. The airplane took us to a helicopter and the adventure began. The helicopter landed in the grand canyon and we got to walk around and take pictures. There were problems. First of all, we booked the skywalk in advance, however, there was no ticket for us. They eventually got that straightened out. After the helicopter tour, we went to the skywalk. We were very rushed. We did not get to spend any time at all on the skywalk. We were disappointed because we could not spend any time there. Lunch was provided and it was good. There was a lot of confusion for the bus part of the trip - like when we were to get on and off and where to get the bus. We also were not told that it would be in the 30's in the canyon so we had no jackets and had to buy something to keep us warm.
