It was a hoot and a half! :)
Healthy horses, great people and nice trail. I totally recommend it.
Fantastic Tour, great dinner and riders very friendly.very nice horses will re-do when we return to Las Vegas
I was very nervous at first but the horses are absolute sweeties and so very well behaved. The scenery was amazing especially when the sunset hit the rugged landscape. Loved every minute of it - such a great contrast to the madness of Vegas
Wonderful experience!! The cowboys were supercool and friendly! :-)
Just astouding ! The horses were really nice and obediant, the dogs that accompanied us were really friendly and the 2 cowboys leading and following (respectivally) our small group of 10, were really nice and helpful.
A very very good barbecue when we came back (nothing missing) and a nice bonfire to admire the spakled sky....
Many thanks for this wonderful experience.
Very nice experience. The horses were very calm trail horses and well behaved. One of the group had an issue with not being able allowed to trot but it was not that type of ride. The meal was very tasty and the time around the fire was great talking with the guides and the group.
I booked this for my party as a birthday treat for me. They all had a great time and enjoyed the experience very much. The horse ride was a sedate one so brilliant for beginners. We had a brilliant guide (Cesar) who was very knowledgeable and was able to make it fun. Loved the campfire and marshmallows at the end.
Wow brilliant something diferent whilst in Vegas horse riding Brill and food fab do this tour we all had a great time Stephen Rebecca and Martha
I went on this trip with my husband and daughter for his 60th Birthday and my daughter who is 24 came with us a she loves Vegas as well. This was our 4th time in vegas
When we arrived at the ranch it was in the middle of nowhere and was really basic. The horses were already set up for us (there was 12 of us altogether). I was the first to be selected for a horse and mine was called Goliath and he was really big. The last time I was on a horse was 10 years ago so it was scary at first. my daughter was next and her horse was called Chicago then my husband who was on Julie. Once everyone was saddled up we were given some instructions on what to do. We were led by the man from the ranch and his son followed behind. we were also joined by 2 of their dogs one of which was pregnant and due in about a week. When we set off it was light and the trail was up and down so we weren't just plodding along. The scenary was fantastic really rugged, dry and looking around there was nothing in site but hills, rock, and grasses. We were told we were trecking for an hour and a half and on the way back to the ranch it was getting dark so really added to the experience.
When we got back we had steak, jacket potatoe and beans followed by apple pie and a supply of cold drinks (you could also have chicken). we sat at the benches to eat and then round the camp fire before heading back to vegas. To be sitting in the middle of nowhere looking up at the stars with no other sounds around a real life camp fire with their dogs around us was a truely awesome experience and certainly one I would recommend. The toilet facilities were very basic, in a portable toilet but there was hand washing and sanitiser but you didn't really mind. My only gripe was the vehicle which picked us up could have done with air conditioning as it was really warm in the back and a microphone as we couldn't hear the commentary. If we went back to vegas we would do certainly do this again and its one not to be missed
My husband and I really enjoyed this! The staff was excellent. What nice people. We had such a good time. We would definately recommend it. Beautiful ride and beautiful night under the stars!
This tour is the best! I would highly recommend it, no matter what experience you've had with horses before. The organisation is good, and the staff and horse handlers are just great. They really put you at ease and make sure you're completely comfortable before setting off. After falling off a horse when I was younger, I was a little apprehensive, but they put me at ease and once I relaxed, I loved it. They match the horse to your skill level and you really fall in love with them while on the tour. Each horse has such a personality!! Make sure to take a sweater or fleece as it gets a little chilly into the evening. There were high winds while we were there too (late Oct) so be prepared to get dusty! Wear jeans and closed toe shoes too as otherwise your legs will get scratched up on the trail. There's really nothing to be scared of though. This was outside of our comfort zone, but I'm thrilled we did it as it was great. What a fantastic way to escape from the lights and casinos for an evening. The food afterwards was good, although it was in the restaurant, not around a campfire as some people seem to have had on previous tours. Even so, no complaints. The pick up from the hotel was more or less on time, although the van had seen better days. The driver, Polly, was a little crazy but it just added to the enjoyment of the trip. Overall, a great experience, highly recommended.
Will do this again and highly recommend this tour...
My husband and I took this tour on 10/26/13 and it was my favorite part of this trip to Vegas. We were picked up right on time outside our hotel...the group consisted of 6 adults including us. The trip to the ranch was about 40 minutes but once outside of the city, the countryside we drove through was stunning.
Once at the ranch, we signed our paperwork, were given a bottle of water for the ride and headed to the corral to meet the wranglers. We were given a short lesson on handling the horses by one of the wranglers and then they paired us up with our horses.
There were 3 other adults added to our tour that met us at the ranch and for the 9 of us there were 3 wranglers. One led the group and the other 2 rode alongside giving us information about the area and what we were seeing along the way. They were funny and personable (remembering every one of our names) and it was obvious they love what they do. One of the wranglers has worked with horses his entire life and has trained them for movies and done stunt work. The horses were very easy to handle and knew their job well...only issue was keeping them from wanting to eat the brush along the way which they told us about beforehand.
When we returned we went to the restaurant and ordered dinner...choices were ribs, ribeye, t-bone, BBQ chicken and choice of potato, 2 vegetables, salad, fresh baked bread and drinks. The food was very good and the meals were huge! That night at the restaurant another wrangler was providing musical entertainment on his day off...he and another gentleman played guitar and sang classic country songs and they were really talented.
Overall, I loved getting out of the city and seeing the beautiful red rock area and meeting the people who worked there...we are going back to Vegas in April and plan to do this again!!
Picked up by our driver a few minutes early and headed out in to the desert, there were only 12 of us on the tour and it was very personal not at all commercialized. A really great experience and would highly recommend, rode for around an hour and a half which for us novices was long enough :-) watched the sun go down as we headed back to the camp fire and steaks. This seems to be a small family operation and was very enjoyable. our driver Jeff? dropped us at freemont street ( not our original pick up point)on the way back and nothing seemed too much trouble
