Excellent personal guide gave valuable insight and a good feel for what can be seen in Lima. The tour was more abbreviated than what the voucher indicated but I don't know if that was due to our small group or if some things were omitted. (Ended at noon instead of 2:00.)
I had Ursula as a guide and she was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend taking this tour if you are only in Lima for one day and want to see the main sights!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a great lesson on city's history and landmarks.
Very nice. Wish we had time to actually visit more...not just look at sites.
Very good tour...visiting all the principle sights of Lima's city centre. Guide very good and informative. Would have like the convent of San Domengo to have been included...for the remains of St. Martin. Otherwise excellent tour
Fue un poco mas corto de lo que pensabamos, pero vimos los puntos mas importantes de Lima y el guia fue excelente.
I had a good tour of the city with a very detailed and comprehensive tour guide. I particularly liked the visit to the crypt under the church along with the Parque Amor. For the mud brick pyramid, we merely drove by but it would have been a good stop to go in and visit.
The driver was a little rushed, but overall had a wonderful sightseeing. Twice at least, we asked if we can stop for a while which they said yes...but it was never volunteered.
I wish tour was a little longer and cover some more sights of the city. My husband and I were the only people on the tour, which was nice.
I was great, but I wish we had seen more things like the inquisition museum or the church where they have the relics of Sta rosa de Lima. They offered to indicate us where it was, but we had to say in downtown Lima and then come back in a cab, but not all cabs look secure, so we decided to go back to the hotel with the bus and not see those things. also, the trip lasts about two hours and a half. The catacombs are great to see, but if you are claustrophobic, think it twice before going down...
Basically it was ok. But i have some negative references:
1- The tour itself takes 3 hours and not 4 as written. Hope you are not counting pick-up time.
2- The guide, Mr Gabriel, altough a very profissional and competent, should avoid comments where he introduces a certain feeling against the spanish just because they were settlers in his country. I myself was a tour guide for 22 years and were very carefull with visitors whose history had relationship with with my country. This makes you feel unconfortable in the middle of the group and not enjoying the rest of the tour. Actually we can not be responsible for the mistakes of our predecessors...
