I could not have been more pleased with this tour. I took this tour in early November and at each site we visited we were the only tourists present. John was knowledgeable of the region and a true advocate for his country. My only suggestion would be to add a second winery visit to the itinerary.
A lovely day, a visit with a mix of different activities, from vibrant markets to hidden gems of the Portuguese heritage.

This tour was a great way to discover a part of Portugal which is a bit hidden to tourists, and it's more for locals. I really enjoyed seeing the nature through Arrabida's Natural Park, and the couple of stops we did at 3 beaches. One was surrounded by amazing cliffs and the other one in Sesimbra, a charming village where we had amazing grilled sardines at a local restaurant. Great views all along the trip! I also really enjoyed the visit to a winery and the wine tasting, very well worth it!
Portugal is a jewelry! And be aware...I'm talking about Portugal, not only about Lisbon. Go for it!
We had a fantastic day trip with Luis! He made sure we saw everything of interest no matter what.
A really enjoyable day. Thanks.
Nice day trip from Lisbon. The guide was knowledgeable and helpful. Trip itself was a good mix of heritage, beach, wine tasting and countryside. Recommended. Bharesh Dedhia
we think it was a very good tour nice and friendly guide nice wiews
My friend and I booked this tour in advance of our week in Lisbon and were very much looking forward to it. While we were there we also went on another tour run by the hostel we were staying at. Compared to the hostel-run tour this was unimpressive. It took us to all the places specified but the whole thing felt a bit like a tour for the sake of taking photos, We didn't get told much about why we were being taken to each place or about the history of the region. Some of the places were nice (I enjoyed the fish market, the wine tasting and the chance to have some free time to look around one of the small local towns) but at other places it felt like we got let out of the van to take photos and then loaded back on like it was a school trip. The guides were friendly but it felt like they were just 'doing their job' rather than the guide for the other tour we went on who was obviously excited about showing off the area.
All in all, this tour is an ok way to get out of the city for a day but didn't leave us feeling like we 'knew' the area any more than when we left.
