On May 13, 1917, three peasant children claimed to have seen an apparition of Our Lady of the Rosary (aka Our Lady of Fatima or the Blessed Virgin Mary). The event turned this small town, a rural village that produced olive oil, into one of the most important Christian sites on the planet.

There, your guide will give you a short introduction about Fatima and its point of interest. Enjoy your 1.5-hour free time and visit the celebrated sanctuary, which has been one of the biggest Catholic shrines in the world. Light a candle and feel the spiritual vibe, and then visit the Chapel of Apparitions in the center of the basilica, the exact location of the sighting.
