Our tour guide, Vanessa, was a sophisticated guide. We not only learnt the history of Fatima, we were also enriched by her knowledgeable introduction in agriculture, culture and other aspects of the region and area wherever the coach passed by.

Although it was a very long day, the guide Ana was charming and humorous and gave us information in reasonable chunks that were easy to absorb. Great trip!

.Fatima was a great experence ..we attended mass and looked around the church and grounds. However, the pick up spot was a diaster, had we not started calling the tour service 1 1/2 hours before pick up we would not have made the tour. Better communication needs to be done. Also not enough time to enjoy fatima.

One and a half hour one way. It turned out to a long day, but worth the trip if you made it to Lisbon.

Called and confirmed before 24 hours prior to tour as directed on voucher. We were told to be at a hotel that was 'next door' to our hotel about 45 mins before the scheduled start. After arriving at the appointed hotel which was really about two blocks away, the hotel concierge knew nothing about that tour company. We waited around outside for about 10 mins and they arrived and took us to meet the tour bus at another venue picking up others along the way for various tours.
It was good to have direct transport to the Shrine without having to figure out public transport on our own. The descriptions along the way was done in so many languages that I sometimes missed the English version. Good that there wasn't too much commentary. Stopped at the factory with some time to make purchases. At the shrine we had enough time to walk around and there were two services in progress. Return to the pick up point was drawn out with everyone to be dropped off. If you are looking for direct transport to and from Fatima without much more expectations, then this is for you.

As far as the tour goes, it was good and even though we had concerns that we were only given an hour and 15 minutes at the Sanctuary, it was actually enough.
However, the local contact was unreliable. First, it's hard to get them on the phone that I had to resort to using the emergency number. Turned out the lady was not in the office yet although I was calling within business hours. Had to wait 30 minutes, time I could have used to see the sights, before calling back to settle pick-up times. Then there was confusion about the pick-up. Although the tour offered complimentary pick-up at the client's hotel, mine was at the sister hotel next door which was NOT made clear. Fortunately, Fenix Garden Hotel is just across the street where the tour buses are parked so we were able to make the tour despite the mix-up. Again, while settling why we weren't picked-up at our hotel despite being at the lobby way ahead of time, I had to resort to using the emergency number to get the lady online.
Although the personal pick-up is a nice service, the need to settle your pick-up times before the tour is a hassle. Marques de Pombal Square where all the tours depart from is an easy enough location to get to as this is also where all the hop-on, hop-off tours depart so the option to simply go to this location by yourself should be given as soon as you book the tour like all the other tours I've booked on Viator before in other countries where a meeting point and lead times before departure are clearly indicated.
