This is a great option, but the only problem is the frequency of the buses. If you didn't time it right, you could end up waiting forty minutes for a bus to the next stop!

This tour provides a good introduction to Lisbon.

This bus tour of Lisbon was an excellent way to get a panoramic view of the city. The information provided by the tour guide was also very useful.

The hop on hop off tour is the best way to get an overall feel of the city and what it offers. It is so easy! You can take the tour and learn the history, and then get off the bus whenever there is something more you wish to explore, or to have lunch. The tour guides are very informative and very willing to give out extra information. I try to do this in every city I visit!

The guide was definitely very well informed and friendly and extremely helpful. Would recommend it to get a feel of the city, especially since the commentary is live.

This is a good way to see the main sights, but the bus seems to be rather old, so was not especially comfortable. The guides were very pleasant and quite informative.

We are now of the opinion that the best way to get to know a city without missing any of the important sites is by riding the City hop-on hop-off bus. It is also probably the most efficient and economical way of doing it.

The bus was not up to par with hop on, hop off buses in other European cities. It seems much less descriptive of the areas you are seeing. A narrative was given live by a person who did nothing more than read a short sentence or two at each of the designated stops; it was word for word exactly what was in the flyer handed out when you purchase your tickets. Furthermore, that person appeared not to know the answer to many questions. Buses run every 30 to 40 minutes, so waits can be fairly long. I should mention that there was one major benefit of this particular bus was wasn't even advertised: It picks you up right outside the port for ships coming in. So, there is no need to buy a shuttle to the centre of the city if you have already purchased a ticket online or on the bus when you first get on.

It took a long walk to find the bus. We had to ask many places. No one seemed to know where the bus started and where to catch it.

The pickup points were not marked at all and we had a difficult time finding them. The driver refused to pick us up at one point until the tour guide told him to open the door and let us, after waiting one hour for the bus to come. The tour itself was good, but too much worrying about where and when the bus would come. Don't take this tour.

Great stops, good tour; however, the stops are not clearly marked, and buses did not arrive every 30 minutes. Easy to hop off, hard to hop on.

I had no idea where this bus met, since the map on Viator was not easy to read and no further information was supplied. When I arrived on the day of my tour, I was told it had been canceled. Other open top bus tours were still operating, so this was disappointing. I took the tour the next day, and it was ok, but I would have liked a little more in depth information on the sites rather than just one sentence. Overall, not the best tour I have been on.

The buses have audio only on the inside. If you sit on top of the bus where it is easier to see all the sites, then you can't hear what the guide is saying. Also, we found it very difficult to find the bus stops.

Viator is a very good way to book trips. However, this hop on, hop off bus is not the best tour bus, as it was impossible to hear the commentary on the top of the bus since there were no individual earplugs.
