The Hop on Hop Off bus tour was a good way of seeing Lisbon in the short time available to us. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in several aspects of the tour. It would have been helpful to have had a map showing us exactly where the bus stops were. Also, when we got off the bus we did not have a clue which way to go, so we wasted a lot of time. Also, a timetable at each stop would have been a good idea, as we had no idea how long we would have to wait for the next bus and wasted a lot of time hanging around. The guide on the bus was completely useless and only read out the information in the leaflet we were given when we got on the bus, which we could have done ourselves. I have been on a similar tours which were much better organized.

Too long, needed to be split into more than one route which link together. Time interval between buses too long. Not clearly marked where the bus stopped.

We found the guides didn't understand English and were absolutely disinterested in their subject or visitors.

Had to wait 1.5 hrs at our initial stop. This is for a bus that is supposed to come by every half hour. There was another stop where we had to wait an hour. Definitely NOT fun.
