If you want to see the towns, villages and countryside beyond Lisbon, this 2-day small group package is ideal. The 8-seat mini-bus was comfortable, the guides were interesting and entertaining, and the itineraries were well-planned. On the first day we visited Sintra and Cascais. On the second day we visited Fatima, Nazare and Obidos. Many photo opportunities. At Nazare our guide recommended lunch at Tabernacle d'Adelia in a little side street. The seafood was outstanding, the wine list was excellent and reasonably priced, and a variety of splendid desserts was offered on a selection tray. Service was friendly and attentive. This is where the locals dine.
Absolutely Amazing tour! Very close and personal. The tour guide, Inside Lison, is a small company of college buddies, with an entrepreneurial Idea of offering small group personalized day tours outside of the city. Absolutely the best way to tour the cities outside of Lisbon. Each van holds eight tourists and a tour guide. You spend a lot of time with the tour guide getting to know them and their knowledge of the area, as you would a native friend or relative who takes you in their car and shows you around. Fatima, I could have done without, but every one of these sites is chosen as an amazing place to visit. Sintra and Penne palace is great as Andre, our guide took us through amazing, unused paths in the gardens, and reccomended a great place for lunch. $15 euros for a wonderful five course meal, authentic cooking, wine, desert and soft drink included. Nazare is a fishing village right out of history. Obidos is a medieval village behind castle walls, restored to much the way it was in it's prime.
Very interesting history and beautiful sites thoroughly described by excellent guides. A must tour for
anyone looking for things to see and explore outside of Lisbon.
Love this tour, as only 2 of us we asked the tour guide to give us 1/2 hour more in Fatima and reduce the time at other places. suits us very well indeed.
Both days guides were very different personalities but both were absolutely fantastic. Maria was very knowledgeable and even offered me her jacket at the western point. She also repeated everything in german. ?Alex was very relaxed, fun and happy to make chsnges as the group desired.
It was great, recommend this type of tours, personalized and our guide was very nice and very good at narrating the history of the sights. Bravo.
Both days were amazing. We saw so many sites that we never would have experienced had we not taken the tours. Having a small group is so much nicer than taking larger group tours where you spend too much time loading and unloading of large buses. Our tour of Fatima was on the feast day of Our Lady of Fatima. It was something I will never forget. Antoine was an amazing guide. I would definitely use Viator again.
Nice tour, first day we did sintra and cascais.the Pena and sintra palaces were very good, had nice collections.the pena national park was beautiful, plants from all over the world, lovely azelea flowers from japan, second day we went to Fatima,Nazare and obidos, all very beautiful places.on both of these tours ,our guides had the same name,Andre which was a pleasant surprise.the weather was good.would recommend this tour to anyone coming to Lisbon for the first time.
Such a great time on this tour! Would recommend for anyone and everyone!
Guides on both days were nothing but amazing!
This was a excellent tour and provided me a chance to see all the wonderful places around Lisbon in 2 days. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledge about the sights as well as Portuguese history. In addition, I had free time to explore the sights on my own which I truly enjoyed.
The 2 day Sintra, Cascais, Fatima, Nazare and Obidos Small Group Day Trip was wonderful and well worth the money. Our tour guide John spoke at least three languages, was a very good driver and had an excellent historical knowledge of the areas visited. I would highly recommend his tours and would return for seconds.
When I booked this two day tour I was skeptical of all the five star ratings. But I have to say the five stars were well earned. There were 6 in our group and each day 2 others were added to make up an eight passenger van. We loved the small group. We had a lot of questions, and the group amount was perfect for that. Our guide, John, was excellent...very knowledgeable and a lot of fun...which was good because we were a very boisterous group! We had an excellent time, and we are already planning our next Viator excursion in London. Just wish our guide there could be John.
