Private Tour: Best of Lisbon by Sidecar

We had really excellent tour by side-motorcycle in Lisboa. It was safe and we could see many places there and the driver told us many interesting things about the sights. Thank you very much, Daniel!

Daniel was extremely friendly, informative and made this one of the best experiences of our visit to Lisbon. He was on time to pick us up and extended our time due to slightly rainy weather. A definite fun and must do way, to travel about and see some amazing views.

My granddaughter, Shannon, and I chose the best way to see the sights of Lisbon when we chose the Motorcycle and Sidecar tour with Daniel. He was absolutely lovely company, so friendly and informative about the history of his beautiful city. We could not have had the individual attention from any guide on a bus tour like we had with Daniel. He treated us with respect and the 4 hour excursion was a major highlight of our overseas holiday. This was one of the best private tours we have ever taken! My husband was a bit skeptical beforehand, but he was totally won over by both the tour itself and by Daniel, our Driver/Guide. Daniel is a Lisbon native and he has so much knowledge about his beloved home town. My husband rode on the motorcycle, and I rode in the sidecar. People stopped and stared, pointed at us, smiled, waved, laughed, or even insisted on photographing us! I felt like a celebrity or royalty, and having so many people pause at the sight of us added to the enjoyment of our afternoon with Daniel in Lisbon. We originally chose this tour as a different way to spend our third time in Lisbon, but we saw virtually ALL of Lisbon during the tour, so it really is a great introduction for first time visitors to Lisbon too. I highly recommend booking it!

Daniel gave us the most amazing tour that my wife and I have ever been on. I knew that this was going to be an amazing tour when he picked us up and asked if we had any plans, because we might be going long. Daniel showed us every bit of Lisbon and the sidecar is an amazing way to see it. When we went it was a bit rainy, but it mattered very little as Daniel was ready with rain suits. What was so amazing about the tour is that with the bike and sidecar, you can get places that most giant tour buses cant even dream of. Also, the knowledge that Daniel holds is amazing. Any question we had, he answered. I would highly recommend this tour. We have traveled all over the world and can almost gurantee that we will never have a tour as amazing as the tour with Daniel. Rome has the Coliseum, Paris- Arc de Triumph, Lisbon-
ancient churches, imposant Castle, beautiful riverside, impressive
monuments and the one and only city tour in Europe on a bike with a sidecar.My wife, who was initially hesitant to travel on the sidecar of a bike and I, who was determined to book a trip with Daniel, after reading the reviews of other happy travelers, were overwhelmed by the beauty of Lisbon and the eloquent explanations of our guide Daniel.
Daniel picked us up from the hotel and immediately reassured us what I already knew and my wife was waiting to hear: that the tour he was going to do with us would be safe, pleasant, a great experience and a thing to remember.
At the end of the day It all proved to be true.
He had with him the obligatory helmets, blankets, sunscreen lotion, bottles of mineral water and offered us a choice to chart our own map of places to see.
We left it to his own discretion and for 4 hours it was all WOW!--beautiful vistas,
monuments, rides down the Lisbon's history lanes, coffee break at Belem's
famous pastry shop Casa Pasteis do Belem.
We were so overwhelmed by the beauty of Lisbon- the places Daniel took us to,
the chance to see through the eyes of this local guy with a perfect --Americans beware: British English--what the hop-on-hop-off buses do not have on their beaten track.

Daniel, we met many interesting, warm, friendly and hospitable people in
Portugal and you are in that number.

Lisbon is a charming city with a fascinating history. I was there for just a few days, and I decided to take a tour on my first day. After my half-day with Daniel, I don't know if any other city tour will compare. It was the high point of my trip. Here is a short list of what made this a great tour for me:

1) Daniel loves his city, and it really shows. He knows both the areas and the history, and he is happy to share it with visitors. He knows all the best photo spots, too!
2) He is one of the warmest, friendliest people I have ever met. He will treat you like a friend who has come to visit.
3) He is ready to tailor your experience based on what you are interested in. He will give you options, and he will check in with you throughout the day to make sure the pace is just right for you.
4) The motorcycle and side car are VERY cool! It is a great way to get around...and we got lots of looks and smiles.
5) He is a very safe driver, and the traffic in Lisbon is actually pretty tame. I felt MUCH safer in the sidecar than I did in any cab I rode in!

I could go on forever, but you get the point!

Try to book your tour for the early part of your visit, as he will get you familiar enough with the city so you can easily explore more on your own.

It sounds a little crazy but it was like strolling round like a celebrity, everyone waving at us, we felt a little special. It was a unique experience to see Lisbon from the sidecar with some wonderful magic stops where to enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the city. I’d highly recommend it!

I absolutely loved my first sidecar experience! I was enjoying it so much I couldn't stop smiling during most of the journey. It was a great way of visiting Lisbon, as we could easily stop anywhere on the way to take pictures and continue the trip. Daniel was very accommodating and took us to the spots we still hadn't been to in Lisbon, and offered us a few alternatives of places where we could stop. He also gave us great recommendations of restaurants, bars and other spots to visit during the rest of our stay in Lisbon. If you've never been on a sidecar, it's definitely worth trying! We felt like rock stars driving along Lisbon with everybody staring at us, I'm sure wishing they were us!

I was truly sad when the trip came to an end! I have rated this trip as Excellent simply because there wasn't a 6 star rating.


I have been to Lisbon several times before on business and never seen much of the city or felt it was a place to return to.
Having done the half day tour I now think Lisbon is a beautiful, old and relaxing city with great architecture, hidden gems and a place I would return to again.


From making an initial enquiry to meeting Daniel at the cruise terminal to ending the trip, it was all done with ease, professionalism and I just can't recommend his trip highly enough.

He knew all the places to show me, took me to a great coffee house (which I then went back to 3 more times with colleagues) and gave me good pointers for the rest of my week.


The bike itself was something to be seen in with several people saying to me - Wow, did you see the bike and sidecar outside - I smirked and said yes, that was my trip which I then effused about.


So if you are in doubt about a bike and sidecar trip, don't be - It was relaxing, a great way to see the city and ideal for one or two people. If you are worried about the guide and his abilities, don't be - probably one of the best I have had. If you are worried he might not turn up or be hard to book/work with, don't be - After some simple emails I found him outside my boat (early) waiting for me! "Book and go" would be my motto.
