Tour guide was very knowledgable and spoke
excellent English . A trip worth taking.
Me and my friend have really enjoyed the trip to three royal palaces in the outskirts of Lisbon. We traveled in a mini bus all about 7 people. I could not imagine to be able to climb to Palace de Pena on my own, bus ride was great! Sintra palace was amazing, and Queluz has some repairs going on the facade, but impressive on the inside and barely any visitors! Tour started at 10 am and finished by 6 pm. We had option w/o lunch, buffet at Sintra was cheaper, but overall Sintra is popular, so you have so many options to get your food! I'd recommend this tour to everyone, just be prepared to lots of walking through splendid rooms and lots of visual impressions!
The trip was highly educative, the guide was very funny, good timing and segmentation, confortable transportation, beautiful palaces and perfect weather.
Was amazing tour, all 3 palaces are very different architecture and really beautiful, the drive was great and as we were only a small group in a minivan was very comfortable.
Fascinating tour of Sintra, great and knowledgeable Guide and wonderful lunch. Very good value for money !
Great trip however if you are going for the lunch option beware there were only 2 choices for Main and no choices for the other courses however it was still good.
Expect to do a lot of walking up and down stairs so it is hard work but well worth it
Really enjoyed this tour and our guide Katerina was brilliant. Just the right mix of guided tours and free time at each palace.
Great trip.Very well organized. Our guide was very knowledgeable, personal and entertaining!!!!!!!!!!
Worth every penny .
Superb trip and a brilliant guide! A must do if you go to Lisbon!
Very cold day when we did this tour but the guide made it all worthwhile. This is a highly recommended tour. The palace gardens would probably look better during the warm weather but then, there would have been more people. Just take note that "small group" means less than 30 people. Yup, I believe there were 26 people on my tour group, excluding the guide and the driver. So be forewarned.
I chose the lunch option and it was excellent as well. The restaurant will work with customers. The family in the next table had two members who needed gluten-free meals and they accommodated them. Just ask the tour guide who can translate for the restaurant, if you don't speak Portuguese.
All in all, very good tour. And the bus will stop at a few places in Lisbon where you can get off if it's close to your hotel.
The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall the tour was perfect - the pace was just right with a little time to explore each location on your own. There is nothing worse than a slow moving boring tour.
Lovely day at Sintra, the tour guide Francisco had great knowledge of the area. The palaces were beautiful, this trip was worth the time and money.
Four of us booked this tour. There were a total of 14 on tour. It was an all-English speaking group, so our tour guide was able to spend more time explaining the sites and sights, since all explanations were given in only one language. We were virtually the only group touring the National Palace in Sintra as well as the palace in Queluz. No crowds! We opted for the optional lunch in Sintra, and we were very satisfied with the quality and quantity of the meal. As well as the included wines! The included hotel pick-up was on-time and exactly as promised. We knew that a hotel drop-off was not included, but since it was a small tour and traffic when we returned to Lisbon was very light, we were dropped off very near our hotel (only a few blocks' walk) rather than the usual drop-off point near the river. This was an excellent tour, someone else did the driving (and dealt with the traffic in Sintra!), all arrangements were pre-paid and taken care of, no lines, no waits, and the guide was personable, interspersed interesting stories in between the hard facts about the three palaces, and basically make this journey carefree, learning and enjoyable.
excellent day with a very knowledgeable guide. ample time in each palace plus plenty free time for lunch and exploring the many alleys and winding streets for shopping. a must visit when in Lisbon.
Francisco was a terrific tour guide on this tour of 3 palaces - each one was a sight to behold and we felt the tour was extremely well done.
Great visit and guide (Arthur) was very knowledgeable and kept us going on what is a long day, but very productive visit.
It was awesome and the tour guide I think he was called Francisco was great also! Super recommended
This was a highlight of our short stay in Lisbon, despite the fact my wife had her wallet stolen from her backpack. In fact I would say it's an essential for anyone staying in Lisbon for more than a couple of days. We were told that Walt Disney based his castle in part on Sintra, well he failed to do it justice. It's a fairy tale, but it's real. The mountain setting is gorgeous too.
The tour was greatly enhanced by our charming, informative, funny and attentive multilingual guide, Francisco

Love the small group tours as this was another highlight for me. Our guide Arthur
and the driver really went out of their way to make one and all comfortable and explained
all of the sights and stories behind the historic sites. The palaces and art we saw on this tour
were truly breathtaking.
