We were a little late at the marina as the sailing time had changed to catch the sunset always call to check. Really lucky with the weather and a fantastic cruise.
My husband and I booked to go on this tour on our wedding anniversary and we couldn't have made a better choice! The boat was modern and comfortable, the guide welcoming and the small group of people on board very friendly. The 2 hrs or so on board is just the right length of time to enjoy a leisurely sail along the river and see the main sites including the Tower of Belem and The Monument of The Discoveries as the sun is setting, whilst enjoying a glass of sparkling wine or a beer in my husband's case. The Docas from where you set sail is also a lovely place to grab a bite to eat either before or after the trip.
It was a lovely trip, Gonzallo our skipper was charming, helpful and a very experienced sailor.
It was brilliant the Skipper Gonzalo was so nice he could not do any more to make it perfect. He had to rearrange the trip for us due to the weather we had the boat to ourselves i would definitly recommend this trip to get a beautiful view of Lisbon from the water
Loved this tour, the tour guide was informative, friendly and fun! I highly recommend this
We arrived a bit unsure of the meeting place, but asked someone near by and they said we were in the right spot (gangplank by the courts) The sailboat had been out on the water for the day. It took only a few minutes to clean and prepare for our sunset cruise. There was only one other couple, so we had our choice of location. The weather happened to be perfect and the music chosen while we wisped along was great.
To top it off we had some nice champagne to sip and enjoy a perspective of the city that few get to see. Again, well worth it.
Really nice boat trip. Take a jumper though for when the sun goes in!
It was an unforgettable experience!
Nice boat, good service and reasonable price.
My only complaint is that directions to the dock are not clear. The voucher doesn´t indicate the nearest rainway station or where to go once you are at the dock. But the experience, once there, was great. Joao the captain was very pleasant, the boat was clean, we had drinks. It was amazing.
Fantastic tour. Goncales was a fab guide and spoke very good English. Boat was clean and comfortable. Only downside it took a while to find where to get on boat as Viator did not give an exact address or contact details for tour operator
we had to cancel 14 feb, because of the weather, but we had great cruise on 16 feb morning it was amazing and will recommend to everyone.
We really enjoyed this tour. The peace and quiet out on the river was the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of the city. Gonzales was a lovely guide and he spoke perfect English. The boat was clean and comfortable. We had 11 people including Gonzales on board, so space was a little tight. The directions were not great. We took the train from Santos and got off at the next stop. it took a while to find the exact location on the dock - there is no signage that we could see to indicate the embarking point. This seems to be a common criticism of other reviewers. . Last thing - bring along a jacket or a wrap, it does get a little cool when the sun goes down!

We enjoyed our trip with the Marlin Boat Tour down the Tagus River, the sky was absolutely clear and the sunset was spectacular. Our skipper was very friendly and knowledgeable, handsome too. The boat itself was nice, blankets were provided due to the breeze in the air. Please note, you will meet your guide underneath the 25th of April Bridge, I was concerned we would not be able to find the meeting spot, but there is a marina underneath the bridge and it's at the very end of the strip of restaurants. You meet at the gated entrance of the marina. I would suggest to the Marlin Boat Tours to invest in a banner sign, instead of the paper sign...the boat is too pretty for that. :-
This cruise provides a beautiful view of Lisbon just as the sun is going down. Our tour was scheduled to run from 5 til 7pm. But, since my group of two and I were dropped off at the dock by another tour operator embarrassingly late (around 5:20pm), we didn't depart the dock until about 5:30. I read other reviews that said the 2 hour trip was a bit long; that an hour and a half would be a more suitable length. From my experience, I would agree. An hour and a half was just right! (And, yes, the others on my tour agreed.)
A nice evening spent on the river near Lisbon. Great views of Lisbon as you cruise back and forth beneath a bridge that looks a lot like the SF Golden Gate Bridge. Great views of the little Christ the Redeemer statue similar to Rio.
The skipper was lovely and took us out on a catamaran as it was available and bigger. We could have as much to drink as we wanted and the evening was lovely, quite private even though there were 11 of us. The only thing preventing 5 stars was that the 'champagne' was obviously a cheap Asti/Lambrini.
We had a wonderful time! The captain was great and gave lots of information about Lisbon. We really enjoyed sitting on the front of the boat. It was very romantic. We only wish it was longer.
The sailing was wonderful and a great view. The guides were nice, but didn't really add much.
The whole tour was very nice and the skipper was very nice. The meeting place was a little confusing as exact instructions were not given - we ended up being about 10 minutes late but the skipper was happy to wait. Can get quite cold and the tour felt a little too long.
