Day 2: London (B)
Savor a delicious hotel breakfast and then meet your guide for a 4-hour sightseeing tour around London by vintage double-decker bus -- owned by the classic British store, Harrods. On a route around central London, watch out for top city attractions like Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, and, of course, Buckingham Palace – home of the Queen. Listen to details of each site’s history from your guide and then stop for photos by Westminster Abbey.

Passing St Paul’s Cathedral hear about the important services that have taken place in the beautiful Baroque cathedral, like the funeral of Sir Winston Churchill and the wedding of Lady Diana to Prince Charles. Hop off the bus at Tower of London for a photo outside this formidable-looking monument and then hop aboard your River Thames sightseeing boat for a cruise to Westminster. Pass under London Bridge and look out for Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre on the way.

Head to Buckingham Palace to see the famous Changing of the Guard ceremony from outside the palace gates. In time to drumbeats from a military band, soldiers from the Queen’s Foot Guard march to Buckingham Palace in their eye-catching red tunics and bearskin hats.

Watch this much-loved ceremony, and then travel by coach to Harrods in Knightsbridge, where your tour ends and you can either shop or browse at leisure. Operating in the same location since the 1800s, the impressive store remains unequalled as the must-visit shop in London, offering both first-rate service and an extensive product range. Then spend an evening in London at your leisure.

Your guide will give you the ticket to enter and, you’ll enjoy most of the morning at leisure here. Walk around the intriguing UNESCO-listed monolithic stones, pondering the mysteries that surround them. How did they get there? Was the circle built as a Pagan shrine or a dynasty’s burial site? An audio guide is available for you to purchase should you wish to hear of Stonehenge’s history while walking around.

The spa town of Bath is a short drive from Stonehenge and the next stop on your tour, where you’ll spend the afternoon exploring independently. Walk around at leisure, admiring the city's Georgian architecture -- built from sandy colored local stone -- and walk across Pulteney Bridge. Perhaps visit the Roman Baths, or discover the Jane Austen Centre -- dedicated to the popular English novelist. All attractions are payable at your own expense. After seeing Bath’s highlights independently, return to your London by coach and spend our evening at leisure.
