We had an excellent experience on our 5 day tour. Two day stays at each location was a great idea as it reduced all the packing and unpacking. It almost could have been four nights art Falmouth with day trips. Pete, our driver did a great job and paid attention to the interests of the folks on the tour.
The smaller bus allowed greater access and flexibility. We would go on another Rabbie's tour, probably Scotland or Ireland.
Excellent tour! Was very enjoyable and had lots of fun! The guide, Owen, was very nice, informative and lots of fun! Visited lots of beautiful places. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone!
I loved every aspect of this trip. Our guide was knowledgable and fun. The bus was comfortable and traveling with only twelve people is a big advantage.
The trip was excellent. The coach was roomy and comfortable. Owen our guide, is superb, kind, helpful, knowledgable, humorous, an excellent driver and very accommodating. Two nights stay in one place is relaxing in what is a busy tour. The accommodation was excellent. The locations visited were very interesting- Wells is a better site to stop at than Glastonbury. We give the trip five stars
The tour was PERFECT! Our guide Pete was knowledgeable about the history of the area, The weather was perfect, except for the last day's drive back to London. I stayed in B and B's and that was ideal. Close to town and restaurants, comfortable.and welcoming. Pete even dropped us off close to my hotel in London, on the return to Victoria. I would recommend this tour.
Really enjoyed the small group. We selected to stay in the B and B's and that seems to have been the correct choice, hotels were further away. Our driver was great, flexible with time. Would use your services again.
I would have liked some more historical and archaeological background.
Also, it might have been nice to have some arranged dinners with the entire group. Those thatdid not want to join could opt out, but it would have given us the oppoprtunity to get to know everyone earlier on. The driver was excellent and the locations picked to visit excellent. I would definately not only recommend Rabbie's but take another trip with them myself.
Very enjoyable!! B and Bs were very good particularly in Falmouth. Driver very good and competent. Tour needs a second person as a guide to fully explore and explain the interesting places we encounter. Restaraunt proprietor at Scillys in Falmouth pretentious and needs a course in manners and customer care.
The tour was fine but left space for improvement. 1. the guide talked a lot and did not seem to consider the fact that the people on the bus did not all understand his cockney/north London accent. He should consider focusing on facts more than what he thinks, it would be more interesting. And try to speak more clearly if there are non-native English speaking people on the bus. Also bear in mind that continues rattling means the the listeners get tired. It should however be stressed that the guide was helpful and attentive and a good driver. 2. the hotels/guest houses were fine, especially St. Olavs, and in both places breakfast was excellent. 3. The scenery and locations were interesting and beautiful on the fourth day too much time was spent in St. Ives rather than giving more time earlier on in the day. We drove to Glastonbury on the last day. It is a good idea to go there for Glastonbury Hill and for the Museum/Abbey, but the guide did not stress that (nor know about bus services to the hill). the town itself can be viewed in five minutes.
