What You Can Expect

Blenheim Palace Tour and The Cotswolds Custom Day Trip from London

Stop in the picturesque Cotswolds on this tour

Greet your guide at your centrally located London hotel and climb aboard a luxury coach destined for Oxfordshire, home to the UNESCO-listed Blenheim Palace. Absorb gorgeous vistas of the English countryside on the 1.5-hour journey and listen as your guide sets the historical scene of the birthplace of Winston Churchill.

On arrival, purchase an entrance ticket and embark on a guided tour of the regal residence; listen to illuminating commentary through state-of-the-art headphones as you explore lavish State Rooms, see priceless pieces of art and stroll through the beautiful landscaped gardens.

After thorough exploration, return to your coach and travel to the Cotswolds, a quintessentially English region with an abundance of natural beauty. Delight in charming parishes and thatched villages during a brief interlude in Bilbury, home to a set of 14th century cottages known as Arlington Row.

Next, head to a place declared the ‘Little Venice’ of the area and capture fantastic photographs of tranquil lanes parallel to sparkling waterways. Revitalize with a traditional lunch in Bourton-on-the-Water (own expense) and then clamber back aboard the coach for the last stop on your tour.

Recognize the quintessential charm of Bampton as you tour the village featured in popular English TV show, Downtown Abbey, and allow your attention to be directed to an array of sites featured in the program.

Relax during the return journey to London, where the tour concludes.

Great tour/leader and enjoyed the bus drive there and seeing the Cotswolds. Only negative was that I accidently left my camera at Blenheim, and it was not turned in. Otherwise, a great trip.

Very good tour- it was great seeing the lovely Cotswolds and there was just enough time for the Palace though not enough for its gardens. Our guide Norma was very pleasant and knowledgeable.

We had a great time on this tour! The coaches were on time and our tour guide, Kevin was ve entertaining and informative The places we visited - Blenheim Palace and he Cotswold's - were beautiful and an amazing experience. Downtown Abbey, however, was a little disappointing. I really recommend this trip!

Lovely tour guide. A great day out. Got some lovely pictures and was amazed by the gardens of Blenheim Palace. Loved seeing Churchill's birthplace.

If your like a true historic house, this is the place. Famous more for its Churchill connection than for its primary owners, it has a beautiful interior and nice gardens. Our tour ran smoothly. The house has its own docents which are excellent. You can get a bite to eat there as well.

The tour guide was a bit boring, kept telling us info we didn't want to hear like the history of traffic in London..., rather than building and general history,

We enjoyed the day tour as a whole. The tour guide was knowledgeable and very considerate of the needs of both English and Non-English guests. I would recommend and use this company again in the future.

If you love a lazy relaxed tour through beautiful countrysides and lush green meadows bathed by golden sunlight, this tour is for you. We visited the most beautiful villages of England. Bibury is like a fairytale town, Bourton has more hustle bustle and is a very lively village and Downton is a lovely quaint town as if stuck in the past. Our guide Marianne was very knowledgeable and pleasant and made the tour even more enjoyable. I would recommend spending as little time inside Blenheim palace and rather explore its vast gardens and lakeside. And do try to take the tour on a sunny day!
