Our guide Sheila and our driver John were excellent. They were very knowledgeable and took great care of us from start to finish. The weather was gloriously beautiful on a Sunday in June, and all the locals were out enjoying it with us and with their children and dogs. The three Cotswold villages that we visited were picture perfect, and lunch at the Mermaid pub was wonderful. Blenheim was simply breathtaking--right up there with the Taj Mahal.
Great tour with good guide and coach. A nice overall picture of the Cotswolds
I had a wonderful day in the Cotswolds and at Blenheim Castle! It was everything that I had hoped for!!! The tour guide was very friendly and helpful.
Kevin was our guide for this trip and did a wonderful job. He is very knowledgeable and a great entertainer! Presents the history and background in very enjoyable way. In two languages that day.
Give him five stars.
Though it was busy with a triathlon, it was beautiful, guide very knowledgeable. A lovely day.
One of the best tours we have ever had and the guide was excellent! Beautiful countryside. We agree with the folks you suggest you skip lunch and use the time to explore--we grabbed a quick sandwich at a small bakery and kept moving.
What a wonderful trip! The sights were beautiful and the guide was really enthusiastic about the locations he was taking us to. Blenheim Palace is a real beauty. Obviously there isn't enough time to see everything this place has to offer, but that is to be expected on a tour, when you are trying to fit in so much. I don't normally choose to have lunch with the tours, since the meals are normally overpriced and not very good, however, this time I did and was pleasantly suprised. The Mermaid Inn, where we ate lunch, was a lovely old inn (dated 1500s), with slanting ceilings and crooked floors, but you felt as though you were eating in a time gone by, and the food was delicious - I had the Bangers and Mash. The Cotswolds is not rated by Lonely Planet as one of the Top 10 things to see in the UK for nothing. Every town has a quaint, unique atmosphere, and it was really special walking through the cobbled streets and ducking into small antique shops. This trip affords you to see a lot in a small space of time. I would definitely recommend it.
The tour was very enjoyable and we cruised along in a relaxing way in spite of the intermittent rain. The coach was not completely full so we didn't feel like sardines in a can. William the tour guide is very informative and professional. He definitely enjoys his job and has a great customer service.
We just moved to London and really wanted to learn about some places outside of London but have not had much time to plan. This was the perfect day out. The weather was great. Every stop was interesting and gave us plenty of ideas of places to visit next time. Blenheim was beautiful also. Plus, we were able to go online after our visit with our Blenheim ticket and extend to a year pass for FREE!. We also traveled with our 4 year old. She had an excellent time. She especially enjoyed the maze and butterfly house at Blenheim and the canal at Burton on Water.
My sister and I loved this tour and we highly recommend it. The tour was well organized and the guide very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Blenheim Palace is a must-see for all fans of Churchill and the gardens are just breathtaking. We very much enjoyed stopping in the different villages of the Cotswolds - one more charming than the other and quintessentially English! We would definitely do this tour again!
The tour was well organized and hats off to our guide and bus driver Chrissy and Leo who were marvellous. Chrissy had a hard time making sure people were back at the bus in time for departure, but she handled it very professionally. (I say leave them next time.) Enjoyable day in all.
We loved this day trip! The guide (Sheila) and bus driver (Chad) were wonderful! Everything went so smoothly on your end. We were the last group thru the Palace and even though the guide thought it was rushed, we really enjoyed all the info. We wish we could have had more time in the villages, but understand it was a really full day. Will definitly use Viators again.
Great tour! Both our guide, Kevin, and driver, Michael, were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. We fell in love with the Cotswolds and hope to return there. Blenheim Palace and grounds are beautiful. It was a great day!
Second visit, first independent but this time with Viator and I learnt a lot more this trip around. Gardens were lovely and sun shining. Guide was great and spoke soooo many languages, however entertaining. Long drive home and time to rest.
it was a great pleasure to be with evan evans.we had great time.escort was very good, well informed, nicely behaved.i would like to travel again with the help of viator if i get chance .lot many thanks.
Everything went smooth. The guide was a very informative, resourceful lady always willing to help us.
A great excursion through the Cotswolds. Enjoyed out 3 stops very much! The guide was very knowledgeable! The lunch was average but the entire experience was really fun and well worth it! Would highly reccommend them!
This is a great trip most enjoyable the gardens are great and of course the Cotswolds are always great
This was one of my best tours, the Cotswolds is a must see, the ride through the countryside is very nice and the Palace was beautiful.
We had an excellent tour, the Palace and it's grounds are amazing, the Cotswolds towns we visited were very quaint.
The tour was very good value for the money that was charged. Phil was a very enthusiastic and co-operative tour guide. He was also very knowledgeable and entertaining and a complete package for what you can expect from a tour guide. We had a great time and I would recommend this tour to everyone.
Blenheim Palace was absolutely stunning and the Cotswolds would definitely be my place of residence if I lived in England. We saw the Duke of Marlborough and his son, Lord Edward while we were at the Palace--they're the current residents there! Definitely one of my top two Viator/Evan Evans tours of the vacation!
