This tour was brilliant Frazer our tour guide was fantastic.
The England in One Day tour is certainly a great trip. Our tour guide, NICK, was beyond informative, personable, and helpful. The visits to Stratford, Bath, and Stonehenge were all delightful. We would strongly recommend this tour. Happy travel! -The Johnsons, Wichita, KS
We were fortunate enough to have David as our guide in the England in One Day Tour. Not only was he very knowledgeable (about the history, the arts and sciences), he was passionate and enthusiastic during each minute of the 12 hour tour. It only made sense, because David himself is a school teacher, which he proudly exclaimed on various occasions. David shared what he knows about the places in between the main destinations too, so detailedly, down to pointing out a little pet fox which sits on a second story window of a countryside house.. ;) I loved the drive in between the destinations; the countryside of England is lovely. We were also shown some of the places where Harry Potter was shot. I can only imagine the Marvolo home sitting on one of those endlessly long grass fields. I only wish we were able to stay at each destination longer. But for what it's worth, given the tight schedule we were on, and the distance we were traveling from each location - this is a trip I wouldn't have been able to make and complete all in one day during my short stay in England. We were able to visit the historic Shakespeare's birthplace, the same village where his grave resides. Inside Shakespeare's home, we saw the window that famous British and American authors etched their names. Bath was beautiful and pastoral, David pointed out to us the class system which existed, and the houses a certain type of person lived. The Roman baths were really amazing, one of the last things the French preserved and did not demolish after the Italian invasion. At the Stonehenge, David shared with us Newton's mathematical conclusion on how old the remains were, and that today Stanford scholars made the same conclusions. David was very accommodating working with Keith the bus driver and had him slow the bus down often, counting to the seconds in which all of us can quickly snap scenic shots. In the future when I visit England and use the tour company again, I would definitely request for David.
We had a marvellous time on this tour. Our tour guide was top notch, supplying useful information about each site and places along the way. I found there was enough time at each stopping point to take in the sights. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quick overview of these places.
If you have the time (it takes an entire day), this was a great tour. There is lots of driving between the stops, but the scenery was beautiful and our guide was friendly and informative. I only wish the time in Stratford could have been lengthened and the time in Bath shortened. And Stonehenge was wonderful.
Great experience, tour guides and driver very professional and helpful at all times, long day, but well worth it!
Guide was knowledgable and made the time on the bus between stops worthwhile.
It was one of the best tour that I went on.our guide was very experience.he made it fun and enjoyable.thank you.will highly recommend it to my friends and family.
A big title but the tour is worth it if you're short on time and covers some important places like Stonehenge, stops at Bath, Stratford-On-Avon and passes through the Cotswolds. It's good coverage for a single day.
Highly Recommended especially if you want to get a little taste of England in a day.
This is a fantastic tour and all three stops on this itinerary are worth seeing! Stratford-on-Avon is a beautiful little town and our family enjoyed the scones and champagne (or orange juice) while looking out the window at the lovely garden around William Shakespeare's childhood home. The drive through the Cotswold's revealed magnificent scenery of the English countryside on our way to Bath. Bath is a picturesque town with much to see and do. The only downside of this trip is that there is not adequate time to see Bath because this is the stop where you eat lunch which limits your sightseeing time. The guides offered us the chance to grab a sandwich and eat it when we got back on the bus and we should have taken them up on it. Fifteen more minutes would have made a difference for sure. Then back on the bus and on your way to Stonehenge which is a magnificent sight whose origins remains a mystery even today. This tour does not allow one to get inside the stone circle or touch the stones. I had the pleasure of this opportunity on a previous visit, but these spaces are limited. Even so, the majesty of the stones and their unique placement are awesome. There is a very nice gift shop on site also. Our tour guide was named Frank and the bus driver was Steve. These two guys did an outstanding job. Frank's commentary was very interesting, never boring, and offered invaluable insight of the areas. They managed the entire tour efficiently and competently, always considerate of our needs. I highly recommend this tour.
Excellent day seeing some historical sights as well as some absolutely stunning Cotswold countryside.....
A perfect day's getaway from london....Mark ( our tour guide ) was excellent and his perfect " Henry V "
Performance would have earned him a standing ovation had we not all had our seat belts on.....instead he received a " sitting "ovation !.........I highly recommend this tour !
I'm so glad I did this trip! I was in England (London) for only 4.5 days last week and wanted to be sure I got outside of the city. I booked this day trip after hearing it was great from my cousin. The weather was great and we really enjoyed seeing Stratford (and the scone/champagne in Shakespeare's garden), Bath (going inside of the Roman Baths is about 15 pounds) and Stonehenge. The drive through the Cotswolds was beautiful... I had a great day and would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see more than just the city of London :)
Awesome tour!! Loved it! Had the best driver and guide! Very knowledgable and friendly. Was able to see so much of the countryside and a great day out of the city,
Great trip. Our guide Frank was very informative and told interesting things along our trip. The whole process from booking the trip to the end of the trip was easy and without any trouble. Very recomended to those who want a bit different experience of England not just London.
Fantastic day. Long day and fast moving as to be expected when you see how many miles are covered. David and Malcolm made this trip even more enjoyable as aside to the beautiful scenery, they provided laughs and a great atmosphere along the way and of course a lot of interesting and valuable information. As we were short on time, this trip was one we were really glad to have taken.
The was a great way to see many of the fabulour things in England. The orchestration of getting on the bus at the Bus terminal was a little confusing as they didn't have the tour reflected correctly on the monitor, but the tour guide was great and made the trip a very enjoyable experience. He was extremely knowledgeable, added fun and drama to the trip and was very good at making everyone feel part of the trip.
Great guide who was entertai ning and showed us all we wanted to see.
the trip was amazing and entirely thanks to our terrific guide David! so funny, knowledgeable and insightful. a very inspiring man who clearly relates to the places we have been to and is very keen to pass on the knowledge and history of them. wonderful!
Punctual. Interesting and informative commentary. Stratford upon Avon was maically picturesque; lovely Cotswolds sceenery andmysteriously majestic Stonehenge! Well worth it!
