This was a fun bike ride along the Thames. Hampton Court is beautiful with the gardens in bloom! We ate at the King's Arms and it was very good food and it was full of life on Father's Day.
Day bike trip was great. It was easy to find the guide, John, at Waterloo station. His directions were clear and easy to follow. The bikes were great. The pace was fine, with lots of stops for great insights into what we were bike around. Fun day trip. Hampton Court palace well worth the trip.
This cycling trip was awesome. cycling along River thames and having an engaging guide, John, to explain the history of Richmond and English History is just simply perfect. The cycling itself was never tough, even for my 60+ dad, who did it in a breeze.
As for Hampton Court Palace, this was truly a palace with breathtaking architecture and history. Entering the palace simply brought me, my brother and dad back to the good old King Henry VIII days. The building, artefacts truly illustrates the thinking behind and lifestyle of the English Monarchy History.
Also the garden was very scenic and beautiful with many plant varieties and colors. Not to mention the maze, where we had a good time trying to find our way out.
Points to take note:
Currently, there are some restoration works inside the main and second courtyard, so there might be some inconvenience. Also for the maze, the last entry is 45 minutes before the whole palace closes, so that in the event you cannot get out, the staff can come rescue you!! Haa..
This is a brilliant tour! I loved the old-fashioned bike which was very easy to ride along the banks of the Thames. It's a great way to see a different part of London that feels a million miles away from the busy centre. Our guide was fantastic and full of interesting facts and stories that kept us entertained with along the route. I would definitely recommend this to anyone to wants to experience a quieter side to London life.
Wonderful tour!! Our guide was very interesting and gave us a lot of info during the way. The ride is easy and suitable for all cycling abilities. Hampton Court palace is a MUST-SEE. Definitely recommend it!
I really enjoyed this bike ride through the leafy suburbs of London and along the Thames. It is amazing to see such picturesque scenery and the stops along the way make this suitable for all cycling abilities. The guide was interesting, funny and very enthusiastic. This tour is a great way to see another side of London.

Great tour! It was great to escape the city and get some real fresh air. The guide was really funny and informative a lot of history in the area but the guide made it all very funny and interesting! Absolute must do!
Absolutely loved this bike tour! The guide was really knowledgeable and entertaining. Really enjoyed the ride along the Thames, a great escape from London. It was fun to cycle through the stunning countryside, and stopped at a lovely pub. Definitely recommend it!
A magical day biking from Richmond to Hampton Court Palace along the Thames, loved every second of the amazing day. Sunny weather, easy riding, and plenty of time to take photographs as well as listen to the fountain of historical information from our guide.
Cannot rate this bike tour highly enough. We had so much fun riding along the Thames seeing the sites most people would miss if they went by bus. The route was easy to manage for the experienced as well as the inexperienced and just the right length. Plenty of shade, with ample stops to catch up or get photos.
Being able to visit Hampton Court at our own pace was perfect. We were able to take in the ambiance of the palace instead of feeling rushed. We were able to see all of the palace and a lot of the grounds in our visit despite the crowds. The return rail ticket was a bonus. A perfect end to a great tour.
I would recommended this tour readily to any one. A lot of fun, well organised and value for money.
Loved this tour! My mom and I went on our last day in London, so it was a great escape from the busy city! Especially since it happened to be the same day as Ride London! We had no problems meeting the guide and boarding the train. The whole tour was great. The ride was about 8 miles, which was long but not strenuous. I was a little disappointed that we didn't actually go to all the places mentioned in the description, like Petersham Nurseries, but there's always next time. We did stop along the way to hear about the history of the area and certain historical houses. We also stopped for a drink and snack at a pub on the water. We got to Hampton Court around 1, where we ditched the bikes (you don't have to ride back!) and the guide distributed our tickets and gave us some recommendations for lunch. We grabbed lunch at Blubecker's, just outside the main gate. Excellent food with great variety (the fish and chips was excellent!). The palace is amazing, especially for history buffs (and Henry VIII/The Tudor's fans...). Definitely a fun, but exhausting, day!
Simply wonderful! The whole day was extremely well organised, very informative and interesting, and loads of fun. The bikes were great (helpful for a non-confident rider) and the route just lovely. Our guide was fantastic - helpful, clever, witty... We really can't imagine a better way to visit Hampton Court Palace. Great pub stop and suggestions for lunch. A definite highlight of our month long tour through Europe. Thanks to all concerned!
