The show was fantastic, but not so the dinner beforehand.......I purchased a dinner and theatre package which included dinner at Leon De Bruxelles.. We were originally booked into L'Escargot, but the booking was changed later.
After looking forward to a special pre-theatre experience I was disappointed with this venue.
Upon arrival at the time booked for us we were warmly welcomed, however when I produced my voucher the mood changed and we were asked to wait at the bar for a table and menu to be found.
After a few minutes we were escorted to a table near the door and given creased, used photo-copied paper menus with choices of 2 items each from Entree, main course and dessert and told we could choose from 2 courses only.
The entrée came fairly quickly and my salad was quite nice and fresh, but my friend’s mushroom soup was very meagre and the bread to accompany it arrived after she had finished eating.
We then waited about 30 minutes for our main meals so I reminded the waiter that we had to leave in 20 minutes to be at the theatre on time. He said he would check with the kitchen and 5 minutes later told me it was on its way. It arrived in another 5 minutes so we had 10 minutes to eat and run!
I ordered mushroom risotto and my friend ordered fish and chips. The risotto was as named – mushroom and rice without any other ingredients except a sauce, however it tasted nice but I was only able to eat half in the time we had left. My friend got one piece of battered haddock and several fried potato chips with a spoonful of mashed peas. Very ordinary.
We had to ask for the drinks bill and pay it while we were still eating in order to make it to our theatre, down the road, on time.
We won’t be going back as it was nowhere near the experience we expected.
Fantastic! We took the option to have the meal at L'Escargot first and were not disappointed. We had read mixed reviews about this restaurant before going but can honestly say we were well pleased with the service and the food was fabulous; if anything we should have gone earlier to enjoy the atmosphere for longer. They were undertaking renovations at the time but this wasn't an issue; we highly recommend this restaurant. As for the show it proved to us that it deserves its longest running show status. The seats were great; this was a memorable evening and one we will continue to talk about for some time to come.
Awesome performance with very good price and seat
Strongly recommand !!!
Excellent show which lived up to all expectations, and very good seating provided.
This show is phenomenal. If you have only one evening to spare in London, then this is the place to be.
Outstanding!!!! The show was excellent . We did the show and dinner package and couldn't have been more pleased. The restaurant was ready for us even though we were early, the food was greats s the show to follow was outstanding

This show was fantastic with great seats. The actors were fabulous. We dis this with the dinner option and the L'Escargot Restaurant was excellent!
Absolutely the best performance we have seen anywhere, any time. We all know this is a great show with great music. The sound was excellent and the voices were amazing. Viator made it easy to purchase tickets in advance and they were easy to call for at the theatre. I do wish we could have picked our actual seats but no complaint about what we got. Go see this play!
Fantastic production of a show that I have seen 8 or so times, my only tip would be to dress lightly because the theatre was so hot as it was a cold day and naturally we were dressed to keep warm for walking, catching tube home etc. just forgot to wear that sleeveless summer dress under our layers!!!
Amazing! The London cast was great! I was fortunate to see Les Mis twice in Toronto years ago and was delighted to see it again in London. Picking up tickets was easy and I had pretty good seats (actually a bargain price). Probably ten rows from the stage. Would highly recommend for anyone into live theatre.
