I really enjoyed my tour. It was an elegant setting with great ambiance.
A great way to explore and enjoy London. I would not want to miss it!
This was by far my favorite part of my whole trip in London. Great staff. Lovely atmosphere. The tea and finger foods were delicious. My favorite were the scones. Mmm so good. Piano music was a wonderful background to float down the River Thames to. All in all must excellent fun.
Tea was delicious. Great food. I only wish they had enforced the dress code a little more.
I took my aunt on this as a welcome to UK - she was thrilled with the experience. Only wish it could have lasted longer - it was such a pleasant experience. The pianist was excellent.
This was a great lazy way to view some of our fantastic buildings in London, new and old, and have a really lovely afternoon cream tea. This was a perfect way to spend the afternoon before going to the Royal Albert Hall to see Swan Lake. I have told a friend and I will definitely be coming back with her.
It was fabulous!
Ultra romantic, great tea, great boat, great staff!
I took my sister on this trip as a belated birthday g ift. We were impressed fight from the checking in at Embankment Pier. ALL the staff were courteous and friendly. The food served was lovely, especially the warm scones with clotted cream and strawberry preserve. Very yummy! The view from our window-side table was wonderful. Seeing all that wonderful London architecture, both old and new, was most interesting. We are born and bred Londoners and absolutely proud of our great city. We have visited other big cities round the world but London is the best. We took the dress code very seriously and took great care with our outfits, although there were some on the boat who didn't embrace the sense of occasion. Such a pity. My sister said it was the best present I could have given her. We are thinking of booking the lunch cruise next , then the dinner cruise with our husbands. That's how much we enjoyed our trip. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make it a real 'English Afternoon Tea' complete with our lovely pianist who played for the whole trip.
Staff was very attentive and took note of our individual requests regarding strength of tea and vegetarian choices. Piano accompaniment was entertaining without being intrusive. Everything went very smoothly.
Fantastic day out, every thing went well, including the weather!!
A very English experience indeed! The day was absolutely beautiful and it was a fantastic way of spending a couple of hours. Seating was a bit unfortunate as we were seated to the back corner, however staff were polite and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable.
The Thames cruise with afternoon tea was amazing - we had a wonderful afternoon.
Very pleasant, lovely weather and nice food. Separate vege sandwiches for my daughter - thoughtful touch.
Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend for a couple of hours cruising on the Thames. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were fresh and replenished if required. As much tea or coffee as you wished. Staff very polite and friendly.
Very enjoyable despite the bad weather. Good selection of teas and snacks served by a very polite and accomodating staff. Our only complaint was the dress code. When booking, we were told to dress smartly casual. About 60% of the passengers dressed appropriately; the rest were allowed on-board wearing dungarees, sweatshirts, sneakers etc. They need to either revise or enforce the dress code.
I had a wonderful time on the Bateaux, as the table and Cutlery was set out nicely . The presentation of the dessert was nice and the desserts themselves were very delightful and the scenery of London was beautiful. My ownly concerns were the service and ham sandwhiches. The service was not great as it was hard at times to get the attention of the staff. Secondly the staff should have found out ones religious beliefs on food. As my friend and I were given two ham sandwhiches, thankfully we were able to replace the sandwhiches with the other options we were given. It was just supprising that one did not think to ask.
Trip was very relaxing and the sandwiches and cakes were acceptable, The pianist was a joy to listen to.However the trip was billed to last 1.5 hours but only lasted 1.0 hour. Everything else was excellent and I would recommend it to all tourists.
Lovely trip down the Thames. However, we were disappointed with the route - a number of sites were missed off the tour. We were also told the tour would last for 90 minutes, however we spent the last 20 minutes of the "tour" stationery at the boarding point.
this was a 92 birthday gift to my Mother. We were disappointed that the trip left 10 mins late and returned 20 mins early. That meant 30 mins were shorted from the advertised time allowed. Very disappointing for a lady reliving her childhood in that part of London. Why was it shortened?
Everything else was great and she enjoyed it excetp for the length which was misrepresented.
We were given terrible seats right at the back of the boat and in the center (not next to the window). We could not enjoy seeing anything. The food was very average compared to other afternoon teas in London. Overall very disappointing experience. I'm sorry but I would never recommend it to anybody.
Very disappointed in the Elite Tea Cruise on May 15, 2013. I ordered a table for four and indicated I would be joined by two others booking for themselves in England. No mention of this request was forwarded to the boat. The boat was not the same as the one offered to me last October and was smaller, and not on two levels with the open center. The cruise was one-half hour shorter with no time for sandwich replenishment, etc. Everything was ordinary and rushed, with little personal service. Some of the pastries appeared to have come out of a Tesco box. All in all a poor performance with little of the elegance I experienced in October. I was embarrassed that I touted it so highly to my English friends. We will not return. (Henry Taron, USA)
