Fantastic tour guides! Very friendly and helpful!! The tour as a whole was well worth it!
the only negative, would be how little I could see out of the bus, if I'd sat on the left hand side of it, would've been better...
A very nice tour, Train ride excellent, food presentation on Eiffel - weird but tasted beautiful so no complaints. Too rushed and didn't get to spend lot of time on Eiffel or in the Louvre. Price should include hotel pickup. I would recommend this as we had a great day regardless.
I really enjoyed it it was a small group with a good guide. I would recommend it to my friends
I'm really glad we took this tour, we planned to get breakfast on the train, the line in that car was VERY long and took 45 minutes to get a sandwich, all the breakfast items were gone, so bring breakfast/snacks with you or get something at the station before you leave.Read up on St. Pancras station, it's GORGEOUS!The train ride was delightful, the scenery exquisite, we kept trying to wake up the kids to see it! The guide will find you on the train and tell you about what will be happening during the tour, before that you are on your own but it's not difficult to find the check in point, if you have a problem just ask people, they are friendly and willing to help. The Paris station was a stark contrast to Pancras, surprisingly dirty. You go directly to the boat for the cruise, there's no good opportunity to buy drinks so bring bottles of water with you, you will be hot and thirsty by now(caffeine pills are a good idea too)The cruise is absolutely beautiful, photo ops galore! A little difficult to hear the commentary through the hand held speaker so we put our best hearing person on that duty and they relayed the info to us. You can sit on either side because it turns around, sit on the outside tho for good pics.We did not have to wait long to go up the Eiffel, skipped the long lines, there was a lot of loud construction going on so it was not peaceful as I had imagined, the restaurant was very busy, congested and hurried, if you are thinking white tablecloth, candlelight, flowers, this is not it, the lunch came in tupperware like dishes and you have to ask for bread, served in brown paper bags, but it WAS delicious! You can order either the appetizer OR dessert, not both.Eat fast and you'll have more time to walk up to the upper level and enjoy the views. The Louvre is crowded and hot(we went on Mon it's closed on Tues)the Mona Lisa was a mob scene, everyone pushing on each other. Our guide was LOVELY on optional tour but we left early,Cold drinks at Starbucks saved us.
Fantastic day, there's no way we could have fit it all in on our own. This was a perfect taste of pairs and Pascal, our guide, was knowledgable and delightful.
Great day,we had to be there extremely early, only to find guide arrives 1 hour later! Could have slept a bit longer! Our tour guide did not accommodate elderly people very well,a bit blahs say ! Train was fantastic and smooth. Cruise was good too! Noticed some tours had same colour hats given to them, this was an excellent idea, as we could never find our guide!
G'day, okay, here's the review you requested: mass confusion at the start, directions of the time when you needed to be at the station need to be a lot clearer. Could have had another hour in bed and breakfast at our hotel if given the correct times. Once guide arrived, things improved. Her efficiency was spectacular and the guided tour of Paris in the coach as good as these things can ever be. "Champagne lunch" on the Eiffel Tower did nothing for France's gastronomic reputation. First it was not champagne, but some sticky, moist substance; secondly, food served in Tupperware containers, barely cooked fish and an apologetic salad, plus a dreadful dessert, were a let down. But the location was superb and being in a tour group meant we jumped the queues. River Cruise was good and again, the guide's attention to detail through out the afternoon made up for other deficiencies. Train left on time in London, train arrived back in St Pancras on time. You can't do Paris in a day, but you can see what you would come back and do when you have a week.
We were in London for the main part of our vacation. My wife's B-day was during the 10 days of travel so I decided to take her to Paris on a day trip for her birthday. I decided and booked the tour prior to us leaving the USA. (I suggest booking at least a month in advance because the train books up VERY fast!)
Although the start to our trip was a bit confusing at first with the train station and which group we were with, once we got moving and through security everything cleared up.
We got on the train and were heading to Paris. We did not upgrade to first class on the train and I didn't think we needed to. The train was great! Before we knew it we were there.
The group got together after the train arrived and we seemed to be missing a couple of people. (I guess we weren't the only ones confused!) Once we got on our tour bus we drove through the small city streets and got a nice perspective of the architecture of the city as well as the people and traffic!
We did our river cruise of the Seine for about an hour. Then went directly to the Eiffel Tower where we bypassed the long lines and went directly into the nice restaurant we were scheduled to have our champagne lunch in. It was very good! I had the Scorpion Fish which was tasty and different at the same time.
From there we went to the Louvre where we split up. Some went into the museum and others walked off to shop. We shopped for some souvenir type stuff and went back to the meeting place and got on the bus back to the train station.
We were pretty tired from the full day of site seeing, but it was definitely worth it!
Although the trip itself was very expensive for the day (over $700 for the two of us) we enjoyed every minute!
The tour was excellent, didnt like my guide tour, but everything was good.
Everything that could go wrong did BUT it wasn't the tour's fault. London holiday, train breaking down before tunnel, bus driver trying to be located, and horrendous Paris traffic. Due to all this Eifel Tower and river cruise is all we could do and then we missed train. 2 groups were on stand by to catch later trains. I wanted to dine in the Eifel Tower so I am happy. Sometimes things don't go as planned but the tour guide did a good job handling and remained calm. I'd book again with you. Still enjoyed the tour.
Trip was only a days, It was ok for 1 day. Don't have time to see a lot of places.
A well organised tour that allowed us a good introduction to the main landmarks of Paris. Fast track up the Eiffel Tower was handy, given the length of the queues. Being a Saturday, the train departed half an hour later than advertised (at 7.31am)- we all turned up by 6.00am, but the tour people did not arrive until about 6.15am. We should have been told about this - an extra half an hour sleep would have been good! Other than this, it was good tour and I would recommend it.
