Although many of our fellow tourists missed the10 minute video of Shakespeare's life (I nearly did because I thought I knew the plays), it was very worthwhile. Each room had a guide to tell you more and answer questions.
Warwick Castle towers

The walk that covers all the towers is strictly for the fit - once you start there is no way back and on a timed tour you don't have much time to rest. But the views were well worth it. Otherwise, you can go to the one top turret which is an easy walk. The countryside all around is picturesque, and probably looks much the same as Victorian times.
