I had a wonderful time! I was traveling in a group of 4 and we really didn't have any expectations going into this trip so it was a delightful surprise. The tour operator really do an excellent job at arranging everything for you. You meet a representative at St. Pancras, where she gives you your train tickets and gives you instructions for the day and where to meet the guide at the train station in Paris. The train itself was comfortable. We purchased tickets in coach and just bought food at the train station to take with us. Sammy, the guide, met us in Paris and took us on the hop-on, hop-off tour, to the Musee d'Orsay, the Notre Dame Cathedral, and a boat tour of the River Seine. Note: We went on a Tuesday and did not know that the Louvre was closed that day so if you want to visit that museum, don't go on a Tuesday! We saw the Eiffel Tower but didn't get to go up it and some in our group were really disappointed by that. The guide switches it up so it was my impression that not all groups go to the same places. He did take us to a cafe where we had a wonderful lunch with French food. My advice is to go with an open mind and don't have your hopes on visiting anything specific since it can be subject to change. We went just wanting to see Paris and we did just that! Thanks Sammy!
what an amazing experience! Our tour guide Sammy could not have been any better. He kept our small group together and made sure we saw everything we wanted! He took the time to see to it we got all pictures. Took us to the front of lines so we did not have to wait! Lunch was great! Amazing!
I was the sole person on the tour and Sammy was an excellent guide as we whizzed around the beautiful city of Paris. I saw everything I wanted to see and more!
We were more than an hour late . Ian was standing outside waiting for us in the drizzling cold winter . His warm welcome n broad smile really touched us. The apartment was very clean n in the city centre. Highly recommended for short or longer stay.
This was a great trip, I read lots of great reviews about the tour guide sammi...and there all true, this guy is the bomb in Paris, getting us to the front of the lines at all the hot spots...it was a amazing trip...getting engaged on the top of the Eiffel tower was pretty awesome as well. totally recommend...
Paris has always been a city that I dreamed of visiting someday and this day trip was enough if one's time is limited to squeeze in a visit to Paris while vacationing in London for a few days. We enjoyed touring Paris with our guide, Sammy. :)
The tour was very well organized. Sammy, our guide, was very knowledgable and able to adapt to any changes that were necessary to make sure we maximized our visit. Even though, I have been to Paris before I felt as though I got to see some things that I hadn't seen before. I have done day trips to many cities in the past and I don't think I could have gotten as much squeezed in if I had done a self guided tour.
We had a wonderful time! Our guide was very fast paced which allowed us to see so much in our full day tour. We experienced all the sights of Paris we were looking forward to. Great memories and photo opts for all of us!
We had an awesome tour giude, Miss Mary Poppins with a rainbow colored umbrella. We both enjoyed all of the tours. Our least favorite was the crown jewels as we stood in line too long. Loved the choice of food. Also we had a fabulous bus driver!!! Would definitely do again!!
Sammy was amazing. Excellent trip. I would recommend to everyone.
Tour guide Sammy was great!! Would recommend to anyone visiting Paris for the first time!!!
I was able to see all the major attractions in paris for the day!
The St Pancras train station is wonderful! They have great food, the service is quick and it's a great way to get to Paris! I highly recommend taking this day trip. We took the guided tour and our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history and sights in Paris. She also knew how to get around the city very well! The Eurostar train was fast, comfortable and amazing to get to go through the English Chanel! If we had tried to do Paris on our own... we would not have seen half of the sights!
Nice trip to Paris, great tour of the cities beautiful landmarks
The tour was excellent. Sami was a great tour guide and we were lucky to have him. He was able to cut the line for our group at both the Louvre and Notre Dame Cathedral which saved a lot of time. While we stopped at the Eiffel Tower for an hour or more, we did not go to the second level. I am not sure why. The one hour cruise on the Seine was also great. Our group saw a lot of Paris in a very short time. Bus tour was also great. It seemed to me that Sami knew people wherever we went. A wonderful day all around.
Was very well coordinated. Trip was good. Suggest tour guide to discuss some of the common ways pickpockets and thieves steal from tourists.
Really fantastic. The Eurostar was great. The tour in Paris covered the highlights. I would do it again.
To be able to see the Eifel Tower with my youngest son was amazing and taking the Rail thru the Chunnel is something my youngest son can tell his kids. I highly recommend this tour, although it is a long day, but worth it.
Given the time available, we were able to visit an amazing number of locations! Our tour manager was fantastic, moving the group from place to place in a calm and efficient manner. In partnership with our driver(s), she was the key factor in assuring a wonderful experience.
My 14 year-old and I decided to take the guided tour. Our guide Sammi was very well versed in Paris history and he kept us on track and on time. The tour was a bit of a whirlwind, but if you only have one day in Paris - this is the way to spend it. We hit the major sites, spent minimal time waiting in lines and learned a lot of interesting facts. We had a blast!
Our guide was very nice. Especially appreciated was the time she took to talk to my granddaughter who never left her side and kept asking questions. She received many hugs at the end of the tour!
Great trip! Sammy was the BEST guide ever and made the trip the great experience that it was!
If you only have 1 day to spend in Paris, this is the way to do it. We were lucky to have Sammi as our guide. We didn't go up in the Eiffel tower, but we went to the Louvre instead and saw the Mona Lisa. Sammi was great and took it slow with us. I was 5 months pregnant and my mom has a bad knee. Tour group was nice and small, only 9 of us. So it was nice to get to know everyone and easy to stay in a group. I feel like this was definitely worth our money. We first boarded the bus and toured part of the city using the audio guide on the bus. After we dropped off the people doing the self guided day, we headed to the Eiffel tower and boarded the river cruise. River cruise was loud, but there were a lot of kids on board that day. After the cruise, we walked under the Eiffel tower to a restaurant a block over for lunch. Next we headed back to the bus and made our way to Notre Dame. We had about an hour inside to explore before we headed over to the lovers bridge for some pictures. From there, we walked to the Louvre and Sammi took the time to explain a lot about it. Once inside we had about an hour and 20 minutes. He showed us how to get to the Mona Lisa, if that's where we wanted to go. Or you could have gone anywhere you wanted. We stuck together as a group to see the Mona Lisa. Afterwards, we made our way on foot to the opera house where the bus would pick us up. We had a half hour or so to unwind in the Lindt chocolate shop and get a snack while we waited. Then the bus took us back to the train station. A few notes: we found our Evan Evans point of contact in St. Pancras station in front of the Group tours entrance at about 6:15 am London time. If you dno't see it, just ask an employee at the station. They can direct you there. Also, keep a water bottle on you and few snacks. You eat lunch in Paris, but you're likely to get hungry and thirsty again as the day goes on. But there was time to grab drinks and a snack before we boarded the train to head back to London.
