Fantastic guide. Loved the stories and history of the Globe Theater. Also the gift shop was a great and reasonable place to pick up unique gifts.
Excellent tour. I learnt a great deal that I wished I had known when I was at high school. Well worth visiting the theatre. If I had more time I would have booked to see a performance. This tour whet my appetite for more.
The afternoon tea, while very nice, was not the organised event I thought it would be. Usually as a solo traveller I include the meal if offered. It gives an opportunity to sit down with and meet people. This was not the case and I found it difficult to find anyone who could help me find where the activity was held.
If you decide to book for a Saturday as I did, be warned that the tours finish for the day by about 1.30 pm and the afternoon tea is not scheduled until at least 2.30 pm. This left me at a loose end and if I had been going during the week I would have taken a tour closer to the afternoon tea time.
Tour with guide included. She was very knowledgeable and able to watch the eat of Antony and Cleopatra being built

If you're a fan of the Bard, this is a wonderful activity. Our guide was knowledgeable AND entertaining.
The ticket helped us avoid the lines into the attraction. We enjoyed the tour by the globe employees very much especially as my wife is an English teacher.
My husband was not very excited about doing this tour. He thought the "Tea" Portion of the tour would be cheesy. We were very pleased that it was actually a restaurant English Tea room and we were able to enjoy the experience at our own pace. The tour of the theater was very good as well and because we were a small group we were treated to areas that larger groups don't get to enjoy.
Although I was unwell, I went on the tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have seen productions at the Globe but had never seen the Exhibition. Both that and the guide were excellent. Recommend it to any theatre buffs!
Highly entertaining particularly the male guide who was excellent
An interesting Tour. Our guide was great and there globe was amazing, but the tour is short. The tea was good with a great variety of teas and foods.
It was a wonderful tour. Our tour guide, who looked like David Tennant, went through the history, and even the funny stories about the globe. If you don't take this tour, you have missed part of London.
The guide was very entertaining and amusing - obviously involved in the theatre group and passionate about Shakespeare. Very good at involving tour members in question and answer. High tea at The Swan was a great way to end the tour.
Well worth visiting, even my teenage enjoyed it. Nice to have your ticket in advance too and you may also want to see a show in the evening because once you see the theatre your imagination will go wild thinking about shows. The tour guides are fantastic; you can also get a free audio tour in your own language where you can walk through the building at your own pace. There are several little demonstrations throughout the day that are both fun and informative. Easy to take bus or walk to.
Amazing tour! An incredible amount of information, and so much wonderful history to experience!!!
The guide we had was delightful! His knowledge and personal wit was great. This was of the best tours we participated in during this trip.
walked right in, guide excellent, much information applicable to plays we did not know
There's nothing like watching a Shakespearian play in THE theatre it was written for - albeit a rehearsal of Midsummer Night's Dream. Our guide was a wealth of knowledge and there were lots of interactive materials to add to the experience. After the tour, we were free to wander back with the audio sets and continue our self-tour. Certainly a highlight of my life :-)
We truly enjoyed the tour guide. She told us about future renovations and construction. She could easily have been a character on stage based on her knowledge and enthusiasm. A real delightful visit!

Brilliant tour and afternoon tea! I booked this tour for me and my sister and we both loved every minute of it! The tour guide was excellent in telling us all about London in Shakespearean times and all about the Globe Theater. It's so interesting to discover things you never knew! After we did our tour we went to the Swan for afternoon tea - which was delicious! We both had the gentlemen's tea - definitely worth choosing if you fancy something a little different from sandwich! I would definitely recommend doing the tea afterwards. Also make sure you give yourself time to look around the exhibition - there is so much more interesting things to find out there and we even saw people sword fighting.
Excellent tour, Thoroughly recommended. Tour guide very good and the exhibition extremely interesting. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole tour. Many thanks.
this tour was great! the guide, a young woman which was very dynamic. she is so impassioned that i wanted to see a play when she finished the tour. but, unfortunately, there are no tours in winter...
